Gear transmission system is one of the core and key system of running part of the heavy haul freight locomotive.For the traditional dynamics research of the transmission system,the rigid body model is used,and deformation to dynamics is also neglected for the geared system.To study the influence of gear transmission system on locomotive dynamics,the rigid and flexible transmission systems of the heavy haul locomotive are established,and the multi-body dynamics models of the locomotive are established by using the combined simulation of ANSYS and SIMPACK.At the same time,the dynamics simulations and analysis of the locomotives are realized under starting process and various working conditions.The research results can provide theoretical basis for the dynamic design of heavy haul locomotive transmission system.The main research contents are as follows:(1)A type of model of heavy haul locomotive is established based on relevant parameters of the heavy haul locomotive,the tread of locomotive and rail are also drawn using CAD software.The text called by SIMPACK software is made by discretizing the corresponding discrete points.(2)A rigid gear system is built according to the gear parameters using the No.225 force element in SIMPACK software,and the gear transmission model is introduced into the locomotive bogie model as a subsystem.According to the structure and parameters of the heavy haul locomotive,a multi-body dynamics model is established considering the influence of the gear transmission system.The mode shapes and modal results of the flexible gear model are also obtained by modal calculation.The gear model of flexible body is obtained by importing it into SIMPACK software.Then it is introduced into the vehicle model as a substructure to establish the locomotive model of the flexible transmission system.(3)The dynamic simulation of the rigid transmission locomotive is carried out by using the US five-level orbital spectrum.By calculating of multiple working conditions and comparing the vertical and horizontal forces of the wheel rail,the derailment coefficient,the wheel load shedding rate,the acceleration of frame vibration and vehicle body,the influence rules of driving system on the vibration characteristics of rail vehicles are obtained.(4)The dynamic simulation and analysis of the flexible transmission locomotive are carried out by comparing the vibration characteristics of the body,frame,gearbox,motor,pinion and gear of rigid/flexible transmission of locomotive,and the influence rules of transmission system on locomotive are finally obtained.
