The development of urbanization has gradually aggravated the separation between human and nature,which causes the children's growth environment facing nature deficit.Studies have shown that the nature deficit has affected the physical and mental development of children.As the development of nature education in China,most of the popularization targets are primary and secondary school students,so there is a lack of attention to preschool children aged 3 to 6.The outdoor environment in kindergarten is the place where children usually spend mostly time playing on weekdays,which profoundly affects children's physical and mental health.In this regard,this paper proposes the combination of kindergarten landscape and nature education,encourage children to perceive nature,experience nature and promote their physical and mental health development through the shaping of landscape environment.In view of this,the research focus of the paper is as follows:Firstly,studying on the development and connotation of nature education.By combing the concepts related to nature education and the research status at home and abroad,as well as the relationship between natural environment and mental health,the relationship between nature education and institutional education,the content and direction of landscape design research are proposed.It is pointed out that the design research based on nature education should start from the physical and mental health of childrenSecondly,studying on the relationship between children's psychological characteristics and the natural environment.Beginning with caring the physical and mental health of children,the research studies the relationship between cognition,behavior and emotion these three psychological characteristics in the process of nature perception and the natural environment,and focuses on the analysis of children's behavior characteristics,so as to establish linkages between children and the natural environment and provide a theoretical basis for further study of design strategies and methodsAgain,studying on landscape design theory based on nature education.On the basis of design principles,the landscape space design methods are studied from three aspects:cognition,behavior and emotion psychological characteristics,which are landscape space promoting recognization,landscape space promoting communication,and landscape space promoting emotion;The design methods of landscape elements is the design of plants,terrain,water and game facilities.The study also explores strategies and methods for combining nature education with institutional education,from the perspective of teaching methods,resource integration,and policy support.These research forms the design theory and enables it to guide practice.Finally,studying on practical applications.Through two application practices,the design demonstrates how the design theory can be applied in practice,which provides relevant theoretical reference and practical proof for relevant practitioners.
