Autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV)is the suitable appliance to exploit and apply ocean resources.The main energy supply of AUV is the battery carried by itself.As the requirments for operating time and distance increase,energy supply restricts the operation of AUV.As a part of the seafloor observatory network,AUV sails to the nearest seabed base station,and gets charged by using wireless power transfer(WPT)technology.This charing method enhances the working efficiency,security,and concealment.During charging process,the change of battery equivalent impedance leds to the change of mutual inductance,which affects the transfer efficiency and power.Thus the closed-loop control is vital to WPT system.As the basic of the closed-loop control,the wireless data comunication between AUV and the charging station guarantees the high effeciency and stability of the WPT process.This paper investigates the underwater wireless power and data transfer technology and proposes the design scheme.The relevant researches are listed as follows:1)The sinusoidal electromagnetic field plays an important role in transferring power wirelessly.The analytic expressions of the electromagnetic fields of the undwater WPT system are deduced by the Maxwell equations.The electromagentic field is related with the current,coil radius,coil turns etc.The simulation and experiment systems are set up to verified the analytic expressions.2)The power and data are transferred through seawater wirelessly.The effects on the WPT system caused by the seawater are investigated.There exists eddy loss during the transfer process,the analytic expression of which is deduced.And the eddy loss equivalent impedance is introduced to represent the effects caused by the seawater.And the mutual inductive circuit model of underwater WPT system is analyzed and improved.Due to the eddy loss,the energy distribution of the underwater WPT system are changed.Energy distribution model is build up to reflect the energy distribution.Based on the energy distribution model and mutual inductive circuit model,this paper proposes the parameters optimization method.And a pratical parameter optimization example is set up and analyzed.3)In view of the compression resistance,leakproofness,compact size and light weight of AUV,this paper chose inductive link using frequency division multiplexing method to realize the underwater wireless power and data transfer.The relevant parameters are discussed to ensure the feasibility of the wireless power and data transfer.The simulation and experiment systems are built up to verify the underwater wireless power and data transfer system.This paper presents the parameter optimization method and circuit topography of the underwater wireless power and data transfer through the inductive link using frequency division multiplexing method.The prototype of underwater wireless power and data transfer system is bulit to verify the design scheme.It promotes the research on the underwater wireless power and data transfer technology.
