Optical fiber composite overhead ground wires(OPGW)have good lightning strike resistance and are a guarantee for future power communication systems.Therefore,it is important to study the break-break characteristics of OPGW under lightning impulses for the safe and stable operation of power systems.In this paper,the lightning current generation loop and the OPGW experimental platform are designed.The continuous lightning current B and C components are applied to the surface of the OPGW,and the amount of the transferred charge,the electrode material and the gap distance are compared to compare the different experiments on the OPGW strand.degree of damage.Based on the COMSOL simulation software,the damage of the continuous lightning current B and C components on the OPGW is simulated and compared with the experiment.Also,the separate lightning current C component,continuous lightning current A,C component,multiple lightning current A,B,C components and the pilot lightning current A component are respectively simulated on the OPGW breaking characteristics,which provides reference for related experimental research..The experimental results show that when the continuous lightning current B and C components act on the surface of OPGW,the degree of damage of OPGW is proportional to the amount of transferred charge.When the electrode is tungsten-copper material,the damage to the surface of OPGW is the most serious;the degree of surface damage of OPGW In inverse proportion to the gap,the short gap can be quickly continued,and the long gap is caused by the arc sway,which causes the arc energy loss to be severe,and the degree of unevenness of the burning area is related to the gap distance and the amount of the transferred charge.The simulation results show that the cause of strand breakage mainly comes from the C component of lightning current,and the component is more destructive.The damage andtemperature of the continuous lightning current B and C components to OPGW are higher than the experimental results;continuous lightning current A,C The damage to the OPGW and the temperature caused by the component are higher than the continuous lightning current B and C components;the damage caused by the multiple lightning currents A,B,and C components and the surface temperature are higher;when the pilot lightning current A component acts alone,the damage degree And the temperature is proportional to its amplitude,the overall duration is inversely proportional to temperature and proportional to the degree of damage.The research results of this paper are of great significance for optimizing OPGW structure and improving the performance of strand breaking under lightning impulse.
