In situ imaging of objects can be easily carried out by using X-ray backscatter imaging technique,acquiring shallow electron density information.In order to meet the emergency security needs of border crossings,important gatherings and other places,it is urgent to develop miniaturized handheld imaging instrument.Based on the thorough analysis of the principle of the back scattering technology,this paper achieves the miniaturization and lightweight design of the internal parts of the instrument,so as to meet the portability,rapid maneuver detection requirements.In this paper the principle of X-ray backscatter imaging technology and related physics are introduced;two kinds of commonly used position resolution methods on backscattering imaging device are analyzed and compared;the flying disc point chopper formation scheme is determined;the key parts such as X-ray machine and DC motor are analyzed and selected.Due to the low exit dose of flying point X-ray machine,the high sensitivity of the detector is one of the key technologies to ensure the image quality.In this thesis work,related X ray detector types are summarized,on the basis of which high sensitive medical screen is innovatively implemented as scintillator materials,accompanied with high silicon photomultiplier array(SiPM),ensuring the high detection efficiency of the back scattering of X-ray.In the system control circuit design,FPGA is used as the backbone,to implement the control of each part of the machine,data interaction between FPGA and display terminal,as well as the operation process control of the system.This paper work did some performance test for the final completed function prototype,and achieved good results.In consideration of the small size and light weight of the hand-helds cattering imaging detector,this paper puts forward some suggestions and directions for improvement of the image quality of the system.
