Permanent magnetic synchronous motors(PMSMs)have been widely applied in many fields because of many advantages including high efficiency,high power density,small size,and light weight.The advantages of PMSMs can also be found from Dualredundancy permanent magnetic synchronous motors(DRPMSMs)which can improve the reliability of PMSMs obviously by introducing the redundancy technology.The new DRPMSM has a structure of fractional-slot concentrated windings with 12 slots and 10 poles.Owing to small teeth added to the iron core of the DRPMSM,its thermal coupling is very low and there is almost no electromagnetic coupling in the new DRPMSM.The conventional proportional-integral(PI)control method is widely used in the speed regulation system of dual-redundancy motors now.Yet,the DRPMSM is a nonlinear system,and moreover,the nonlinear disturbance cannot be rejected well with the PI control method.The new DRPMSM is the object of study in this paper,and the speed regulation system is designed for it.The main work in this paper is shown as follows.(1)The modified super twisting(MST)method is introduced to the speed loop of the new DRPMSM.As a second order sliding mode control strategy,it inherits some advantages from the conventional sliding mode control and can reject the chattering well compared with the conventional sliding mode control.(2)The overshoot problem is severe when the MST method is adopted.And then the reason for it is discussed.In order to solve the problem,A new anti-windup coefficient is proposed in this paper.Simulation results show that the proposed coefficient can reduce the overshoot effectively under different given speed references.(3)A load torque observer based on Luenberger observer is introduced to improve the response rate of the speed loop further.The proposed control method designed for the speed regulation system of the DRPMSM proves to be effective to reject the nonlinearity disturbance through the simulation compared with the speed regulation system in which the PI control method is adopted.
