In order to protect all kinds of bridges and buildings from being affected by typhoons and earthquakes,the viscous damper is developed with cushioning and damping performance.Although a series of researches on viscous dampers have been carried out by relevant agencies in China,there is still a need to explore the influence and the regularity of key parameters on the performance of viscous dampers.Based on this,this paper studies the influence of viscous dampers' key parameters on damping force through testing,after which the adjustment of the viscous damper model and the analysis of simulation parameters are completed through computer simulation,establishing a new research mode of simulation guided test.The research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on the structure of viscous dampers and the principle of energy dissipation,the damping force formula of the pore type and gap type viscous dampers are deduced,which lays the foundation for further theoretical analysis.(2)The pore type dampers with different structural parameters are experimented with different silicone oil viscosities by means of energy dissipation tester.Through the analysis of the test results,the influence of key parameters on velocity index and damping coefficient is studied from the pore type viscous damper.(3)By simulating the experimental damper in the FLUENT software and comparing the simulation results and the test results,the parameters set in the simulation are adjusted and optimized in consideration of the influence of temperature,pressure,silicone oil viscosity and silicone oil density on the actual results,and finally reaches the high accuracy requirements.(4)The FLUENT software is used to study the selection regularity of the time step in the simulation for the pore type and gap type viscous dampers.The influence of key parameters on the time size is studied from viscous dampers,and the optimal selection range and the regression formula of the time step are determined,improving the accuracy and efficiency of the simulation,and providing reference for the time size selection of the pore type and gap type viscous damper.
