In order to cope with the increasingly serious traffic congestion in cities,every city is implementing a bus priority strategy to alleviate the current situation of traffic congestion.Public transportation becomes the foundation of sustainable urban development.Flex-route transit as a new type of bus that can realize “door to door” service,has the advantages of high efficiency and low cost of fixed-route transit,and the flexibility of demand-responsive transit.Therefore,flex-route transit can effectively connect the residents travel origin or destination and public transportation stations,and meet the travel needs of residents in low travel density areas at a lower cost.A scientific timetable is the key to good operation of flex-route transit,this paper mainly studies the working timetable calculation method of flex-route transit.Firstly,this paper summarizes the operating characteristics of flex-route transit,analyzes the influencing factors for main vehicle operating time and psychological expectations of passengers on travel time,and compare with the influence factor of the timetable of fixed-route transit.Secondly,the core of the paper is to determine the departure interval and the departure time at fixed station.After studying the main factors affecting the bus departure interval,the minimum system cost of integrating vehicle operating time,passenger riding time and passenger waiting time is taken as the objective function,and the optimal departure interval model is established to analyze the impact of different operating speeds and passenger demand on departure intervals,and provide theoretical guidance and advice for bus operations.Thirdly,considering the characteristics of the departure time at fixed station,in order to improve the utilization of the slack time,it is proposed to set the departure time window at fixed station,and a calculation method for the width of departure time window at fixed station considering the vehicle travel time,the vehicle stop time and the passenger waiting time.The result shows that setting the departure time window reduces the length of the operation cycle and the waste of the slack time.Finally,based on the research of the timetable,this paper summarizes the technical essentials and basic work of the calculation of the flex-route transit timetable.According to the determination method of the departure time,the work flow of the timetable calculation is formulated,and the timetable is compiled with the case.
