China's industrialization is developing rapidly,innovative products have received unprecedented attention,and China's creation is composing a new era.This paper discusses the research and application of semiotics and traditional elements of Chinese culture in modern product design.The purpose is to seek an efficient and characteristic development path for Chinese design,so as to make Chinese design develop healthily and sustainably.Chinese culture has a long history,and there is an inexhaustible source of design in the precipitation of history.On this basis,the use of semiotics design concept for design can make the product function and form reach a high degree of unity,and design products that meet the needs of people's use and high-quality life.During the semester,I realized some connections between design symbols in theory and design practice,and explored them in practice.
