The long-term overgrazing has made grassland degradation more and more serious. And this phenomenon has seriously hindered the development of animal husbandry and the increase of herdsmen’s income. At the same time, the ecological balance has also been seriously damaged. At present, the existing related research work at home and abroad is mainly to analyze the herdsmen’s grazing behavior and the herd’s activity distribution through the herd trajectory data. However,in previous studies on grazing behavior, the factors considered were relatively simple. These studies lacked comprehensive consideration of herd feeding behavior and vegetation growth status. So it is difficult to effectively quantify and evaluate it.In addition, the existing grazing management system only implements location service functions such as real-time location display and historical trajectory query. And the function of grazing behavior analysis and evaluation is rarely realized. In response to the above problems,GPS positioning and remote sensing technology were introduced into the grazing process in this article. At the same time,a grazing rationality evaluation system based on grazing space-time trajectory and remote sensing was also proposed in this paper. On this basis,a grazing rationality evaluation system based on environmental perception was developed. On this basis,a grazing rationality evaluation system based on grazing space-time trajectory and remote sensing was developed. It mainly includes the following contents:(1)In order to evaluate the rationality of grazing more reasonably and quantitatively, this paper proposes a grazing rationality evaluation method based on grazing space-time trajectory and remote sensing. This method is based on the proposition that the grazing process is a process of continuous interaction between the herd’s feeding behavior and the growth of grassland vegetation. And the relationship between the herd’s feed intake and the existing grassland biomass was considered comprehensively. The distribution of feed intake of the herd was obtained by using grazing trajectory data and the existing biomass distribution of pasture was obtained by combining with the grassland remote sensing estimation model. Then, the feed intake of the herd and the biomass of pasture were superposed to calculate the rate of feed intake of the herd. The rationality of grazing was quantified and evaluated according to the national standard of grassland suitability. The result showed most grazing areas in the study area were light grazing areas and the phenomenon of unreasonable grazing was serious. The unreasonable grazing area accounts for at least 92.42% of the area, while the reasonable grazing area accounts for about 7.58% of the area.(2)In order to effectively monitor, analyze and evaluate the grazing rationality, this study established a grazing rationality evaluation system based on grazing space-time trajectory and remote sensing. The system integrates the above theories and evaluation methods, using many technologies, such as trajectory data processing, remote sensing data processing and GIS data processing technologies.Taking the study area as an example, the system was applied and tested. The results showed that the system can effectively realize the functions of herd management, herd trajectory analysis, herd feed intake monitoring, grassland biomass monitoring and grazing rationality evaluation. It provided technical support and data support for animal husbandry management departments at all levels and ranchers to accurately analyze grazing behavior, and improves the information level of grazing animal husbandry.
