Automatic Voltage Control(AVC)is an important means to improve the voltage level of the power system and improve the economic benefits of the power system.The main goal of the AVC system in the regional power grid is that the power factor of the high-voltage side gate of the 220 k V substation main transformer reaches the required value.The constraint is the upper and lower limit curves of the 220 k V bus voltage,and the cost of the regulating equipment is also considered.The AVC control strategy is to reduce the cost of equipment adjustment.For the same type of adjustment equipment,it can control the number of adjustments and the adjustment interval.In the design of substation capacitor bank,according to the design principles combined with past experience,rough configuration is carried out according to the plan,which leads to a mismatch between the configuration of the capacitor bank and the required capacity of the system due to load changes during actual operation,which increases the capacity of the capacitor bank to a certain extent.The increase in the number of switching of AVC control has resulted in more defects and frequent failures of the switching switch of the capacitor bank.This article comprehensively analyzes the switching situation of capacitor banks in Zhaoqing area,and concludes that the reason for the excessive switching times of capacitor banks is that the existing capacitor bank configuration capacity of the substation does not match the reactive power demand of the substation in a specific period.According to the actual load situation of the substation,after optimized calculation,the corresponding capacitor bank with matching capacity is obtained under the premise that the substation meets the AVC control requirements,and the capacitor bank is added by leasing in consideration of economic benefits,and the fixed input method is adopted.The data after actual operation shows that within threemonths after adding the capacitor bank with fixed input mode,under the current AVC control strategy,the number of switching of the capacitor bank controlled by the AVC system has decreased by 35%-45% year-on-year,And the cost of leasing a capacitor bank is about RMB 57,000.Prove that the scheme is feasible and has practical application benefits.
