As the country pays more and more attention to the construction of hydropower stations,the ratio of installed capacity of hydropower units to the total capacity of the power grid is increasing day by day,and the influence of hydropower stations on the safe and stable operation of the power grid is increasing,which requires that the reliability of the operation of hydropower units must be guaranteed.Thrust bearing as vertical hydraulic unit "mechanical heart",is one of the important components ensure the safe and stable operation of unit,in the process of practical production,hydro turbine thrust bearing oil groove there is the problem of oil mist to escape,just degree is different.This problem not only seriously pollutes the operating environment of hydropower units,but also affects the safety and stability of the whole unit.This article combines the actual problems generated during the operation of the hydropower unit,after consulting the relevant technical literature,first combined with the actual situation,using CFD software to study the internal flow field of the thrust bearing oil tank of the hydropower unit,and analyze the steam volume of the unit under the operating state The rules of fraction distribution,temperature distribution,liquid surface shape and pressure distribution are in preparation for optimizing the structural size of the oil groove of the thrust bearing of the unit.Combining the actual situation,it can be known that the oil mist condensation space reserved in the design of the thrust bearing oil groove of this unit is insufficient,which causes the oil mist concentration inside the oil groove to be too high,and the oil mist escape phenomenon is more serious.Since the diameter of the foundation pit of the vertical hydropower unit is fixed during the construction of the hydropower station,it is not practical to increase the condensing space by increasing the diameter of the oil tank.However,it is a feasible way to increase the condensing space of oil mist by increasing the height of the oil sump.Therefore,this paper analyzes the relationship between the size of the oil sump and the oil mist concentration to optimize the size of the oil sump,and provides theoretical support for increasing the size of the thrust bearing oil sump.
