Cement stabilized steel slag as a kind of inorganic binder stabilizing material that can be used in pavement base layer structure. My country has a vast territory, wide seasonal freezing areas, frequent climate changes, and extreme high and low temperatures which cause freezing and thawing of the road surface. At the same time, the increase in vehicle load reduces the service life of the road surface. Therefore, this paper studies make effects for freeze-thaw cycles on cement-stabilized steel slag bases, discusses the stress and strain of the cement-stabilized steel slag bases under the action of freeze-thaw cycles on the pavement structure layers, and provides certain theoretical significance and theoretical significance for the study of damage and destruction.Engineering application value.(1)First,perform a freeze-thaw cycle test on the ?150mm×150mm cylindrical cement stabilized steel slag specimen, analyze the quality of the cement stabilized steel slag specimen under the freeze-thaw cycle and the law of unconfined compressive strength, and fit different The correlation equation between the number of freeze-thaw cycles and the strength of cement stabilized steel slag specimens. The results show that with the increase of the number of freeze-thaw cycles, the unconfined compressive strength of cement-stabilized steel slag specimens gradually decreases, and the quality of the specimens first increases and then decreases.(2)Using finite element software to construct a numerical model of cement stabilized steel slag specimens under the action of freeze-thaw cycles, and compare and analyze the test results with numerical simulation data. The two have good consistency. In the process of numerical simulation,we can get the temperature, stress and strain change curve with time.It is found that the stress and strain of the specimen during the freeze-thaw cycle are related to the rise and fall of the external temperature;as the number of freeze-thaw cycles increases,The stress on the specimen gradually spreads to the inside.(3)In order to reduce the effect of freeze-thaw cycles on the cement-stabilized steel slag base layer, the pavement structure with and without the cushion is simulated and compared.By comparing the temperature, stress, and strain of each structural layer of the pavement,it is found that the placement of cushion can reduce the stress and strain of each structural layer of the pavement. The reduction rates are: 94.4% forthe upper layer,95.4% for the lower layer,92.9% for the base layer, and 92.9% for the bottom layer.98.2% of the grassroots.
