With the rapid development of high-speed heavy-duty railways, the problem of adhesion between wheels and rails is an important factor in the operation of trains. The start, operation and braking of trains are achieved by the adhesion between the wheels and the rails. Therefore, the research on the adhesion problem between the wheel and rail has higher requirements, especially the speed increase, which makes the research on the wheel-rail adhesion problem more complicated.Good wheel-rail adhesion can effectively improve the working performance of the wheel-rail system, prolong the service life, reduce the maintenance and repair costs of railway equipment, and have great economic significance.Thorough analysis and research on this issue will ensure the safety of train operation from the most fundamental. To ensure the safety of passengers' lives. This paper intends to use the self-developed wheel-rail simulation test rig to study the effects of dry state, water, oil, sand, axle weight and speed on the wheel-rail adhesion coefficient, and obtain the wheel-rail adhesion coefficient under various working conditions and different media. The relationship with the lateral creep rate.At the same time, based on Carter's two-dimensional rolling contact theory and partial elastohydrodynamic theory between rough surfaces, using dynamic software Simpack established a three-dimensional rolling contact model between wheel and rail under the condition of the third medium.Simulation of wheel-rail lateral adhesion characteristics under different media conditions by changing the friction between wheel-rail contact. The speed and axle load conditions were changed to study the influencing factors on the lateral adhesion characteristics of the wheel and rail. Finally, the experimental results are compared with the numerical results and conclusions are drawn:1?The test results show that the lateral adhesion Coefficient of wheel-rail is the largest in dry state and the smallest in oil-water mixture, and the speed and axle load have certain influence on the lateral adhesion Coefficient of wheel-rail,with the increase of speed, the lateral adhesion coefficient of wheel and rail decreases gradually, but the reverse is true in oil medium.2?Sand is helpful to improve the lateral adhesion coefficient of wheel and rail.3?The comparison between the simulation results and the test results shows that the curves of the simulation results and the test results under the same conditions are identical in the changing trend, therefore, there is a certain difference between the simulation results and the test results.
