With the continuous development of rail transit,steel-concrete composite structures are used more and more because of its advantages such as high bearing capacity,small dead weight,small cross section,and high rigidity.Shear connector plays an important role in the composite structure..The fatigue performance of the shear connector directly affects to the bearing capacity and various properties of the steel-concrete composite structure.Based on the stud shear connectors and new type of shear connectors used in a rail transit,this paper divides the research body into three parts,which are shear connector fatigue test,finite element research,structural optimization of the new type of shear connectors and fatigue life assessment of shear connector.This paper uses the shear connector fatigue test to study the fatigue resistance of the shear connector:(1)Based on European standard,a fatigue test is performed on the stud shear connector and the new type of shear connector to study the failure mode and the fatigue life of shear connector.The failure mode of stud shear connector is mainly shear failure at the root of the stud.Individual studs have a steel plate tear at the connection with the steel beam and failure in the middle of the stud and the new type of shear connector did not break.(2)In terms of fatigue life,tests life of stud shear connectors expectancy is generally longer than the theoretical calculation life,except for the Chinese standard.The test result of the new type of shear connector shows that the shear connector does not undergo fatigue failure,and there is a large gap between the national code and the test result.The theoretical life value of the European code and the American code are close,and the theoretical life value of the British code and the Chinese code are relatively close.(3)ABAQUS and Midas FEA were used to perform finite element model and analysis,and Fe-safe and Midas FEA built-in fatigue analysis modules were used to perform fatigue analysis on the shear connector models.More similar.It can be found that two calculation methods have similar results.In this paper,fatigue test,finite element analysis,and structural optimization of a new type of shear connector are used as research content,which provides a reference for the subsequent research of shear connector.
