The effect of dietary green tea powder(GTP)on growth performance,immune organ development,serum biochemical indicators and immunity relative mRNA level of broiler chickens was investigated in this study.A total of 450 1-day-old arbor acre broilers were randomLy allotted to 5 groups and each group had 45 male broilers and 45 female ones.All broiler chickens were freely accessible to the diets and water for a period of 42 days.Dietary treatments used in this study were control group(basal diet),0.5 %(basal with 0.5% GTP),1.0 %(basal with 1.0% GTP)and 2.0 %(basal with 2.0% GTP).The pilot test period was set to 3 days,and dietary green tea powder was added since the first day.The body weight,feed intake of broiler chickens was recorded weekly.8 broilers in each group were selected to measure the immune organ development,serum biochemical indicators and immunity relative mRNA level.The main findings of this dissertation were as follows:1.The present study showed that there was no significant difference in the food intake and mortality among treatments.Low dose and dose of GTP group in content has no effect on the performance of the experimental animals.GTP in the early intervention in animals,the intervention group compared with control group appeared the varying degree to reduce weight,7 days,0.5%,1.0% and 2.0% were appeared the situation of the significantly decrease(P < 0.001).And as you progress through the experiment,animal gradually adapt to the growing environment,0.5%,1.0%,group results gradually returns to normal,and the control group did not differ significantly,but 2.0% group body weight always appear significantly reduced through the experimental period,and at the end of the test weight decreased by 11.31% compared with the control group.The whole test cycle,the treatment groups,ADG were no significant differences compared with control group.The whole test material weight than there were no significant differences between groups in terms of cycle.2.Immune organ weight and organ index of the results showed: 28 days,0.5% and 1.0% green tea processing group of bursa of fabricius weight and bursa of fabricius index has a tendency to increase,but has no significant difference between control.Thymus index,the thymus index was increased by 21.75% 1.0% group(P < 0.05).0.5% and 1.0% green tea processing group of spleen weight and spleen index,there were no significant differences compared with control group 2.0% green tea processing group of spleen index appeared significantly reduced.42 days,the treatment group of bursa of fabricius weight and bursa of fabricius index and the control group,no significant difference between the treatment group of thymus weight and thymus index rising trend,of which 1.0% group increased most obviously in the thymus index,increased by 66.93%(P < 0.05).42 days than were rising trend with the control groups of spleen weight,especially 2.0% tea processing group significantly increased(P < 0.05),the spleen index compared with the control group were falling,and 2.0% tea treatment group decreased significantly(P < 0.05).3.Green tea increased serum SOD and GSH-Px activity.Broiler feed of feeding different doses containing GTP,42 days in each treatment group compared with control group GSH-Px activity were significantly increased(P < 0.05),increased by 31.25%,36.30% and 34.91%,respectively.Each treatment group SOD enzyme activity had a tendency to rise,there were 24.31%,44.69% and 60.49% respectively(P < 0.01).4.GTP can enhance chicken specific antibody immune response.Sheep red blood cells(SRBC)experiment is an effective method for evaluation of specific immune response ability.Experiments of sheep red blood cells antibody(SRBC Ab),according to the results of experiment to determine that GTP broiler serum SRBC Ab were significantly higher than control group(P < 0.05),0.5% of which group increased 28.78%,reached the significant level(P < 0.001),the group increased 1.0% and 20.62%(P < 0.05),the group increased 2.0% and 18.33%(P < 0.05).5.Quantitative analyses of serum immunoglobulin were shown:Green tea had improved serum immunoglobulin content and relative gene expression level.14 days,broiler serum IgY between groups had no significant different.1.0% and 2.0% group serum IgA compared with the control group were reduced by 30.18%(P < 0.05),30.18%(P < 0.01).28 days,2.0% GTP group broiler serum IgY was significant increased 19.38%(P < 0.05).0.5% and 1.0% GTP compared with the control group was increased 34.00%(P < 0.05)and 41.59%(P < 0.01),respectively.42 days,serum IgY of 2.0% group was increased by 40.24%(P < 0.05).Serum IgA of 0.5% and 1.0% group increased 81.11%(P < 0.05)and 74.54%(P < 0.05),respectively.Compared with the control group 2.0% IgA content has rising trend,but there was no significant difference.GTP intervention 42 days of broiler chicken,relative immunoglobulin gene expression in 1.0% and 2.0% group were significantly increased compared with control subjects IgY mRNA levels,increased 3.58 times(P < 0.05)and 3.16 times(P < 0.05),respectively.1.0% group IgA gene mRNA level was significantly increased 3.21 times(P < 0.01)compared with the control group.Nevertheless,IgM mRNA level had no significant difference compared with control group.In general,a number of proofs of the humoral immune indexes with present positive correlation between green tea add doses,and has a promoting effect on the immune organ development,but a high dose of green tea powder would reduce the risk of broiler growth performance,the best addtive range of GTP in arbor acre broilers fodder was 0.5%-1.0%.
