Forest vegetation is the main body of the terrestrial biosphere,the research of carbon reserve and carbon density has important theoretical and practical significance for forest carbon sinks and global climate change.At present Province the mountain forest vegetation carbon less and space distribution pattern of the study in Shanxi Province.At present,the study of forest vegetation carbon and space distribution pattern for the mountains of Shanxi Province is less.Based on the data from the continues forest inventory in 2010 and 2015,the forest vegetation of Taiyue Mountain in Shanxi Province were classified using TWINSPAN method.The forest biomass and carbon density of Taiyue Mountain were analysis by the variable biomass expansion factor function(BEFF)method.Forest carbon reserve and carbon density in the study area were analyzed the spatial pattern of affected by altitude,gradient,slope direction,slope position and various environment factors.The results show that:(1)The forest vegetation of Taiyue Mountain was divided into nine formation,respectively is:Form.pinus bungeana + arborvitae,Form.Pinus tabuliformis,Form.Quercus wutaishanica + Pinus tabuliformis,Form.Quercus wutaishanica,Form.Quercus wutaishanica + Carpinus turczaninowii Hance,Form.Quercus wutaishanica + Acer,Form.Betula platyphylla Suk + Quercus wutaishanica + Populus,Form.Betula platyphylla Suk + Larix principis-rupprechtii Mayr and Form.Robinia pseudoacacia L.Accounting for 75%of the forest vegetation of Taiyue Mountain.(2)In 2010 and 2015,the forest biomass were 3.008 million tons and 3.567 million tons,the average biomass were 37.22t·hm-2 and 44.13t·hm-2.In 2010 and 2015,the carbon reserve were 3.008 million tons and 3.567 million tons,the carbon density were 37.22t·hm-2 and 44.13t·hm-2.The carbon density increased by 6.91 t·hm-2 in five years,and the growth rate of carbon density was 1.38 t·hm-2·a-1.From 2010 to 2015 the carbon density of each formation increased,the fastest growth is Form.Betula platyphylla Suk + Larix principis-rupprechtii Mayr.(3)The forest vegetation of Taiyue Mountain is given priority to with half-mature forest and near-mature forest,the carbon reserve and carbon density of each formation in different age group has larger difference.Young forest—half-mature forest—near-mature forest—over mature forest,most of the formation of carbon density is on the rise.(4)The distribution of forest carbon density is mainly affected by tree species composition,stand age and stand density and so on.The carbon density appears to west high east low The carbon density of Taiyue Mountain as the altitude rises,the minimum is 6.17 t·hm-2,the highest is 62.24 t·hm-2.The forest land of Taiyue Mountain is given priority to with slope and steep,the carbon density of steep is highest,the carbon density of gentle slope is lowest.The carbon reserve of Taiyue Mountain is given priority to with two slope positions:up,middle.carbon density is highest in the plain and lowest in the middle slope;The forest land of Taiyue Mountain is given priority to with the half cloudy slope and sunny slope,Schattenseite is highest and sunny slope is least.
