Double-root-cut grafting was a novel grafting method which the advantage was that the grafted seedlings were regenerated after the roots were cut off.The regenerated roots were more developed than the original roots,and had strong ability to absorb nutrients and water and prevent the phenomenon of spindling in the healing process.In China,this kind of grafting method has been popularized and applied on melon,and the effect was good.Based on the previous studies,this experiment studied the resistance of Verticillium wilt on different rootstocks of eggplant,screened the eggplant rootstocks resistant to Verticillium wilt,and the eggplant and tomato suitable for double-root grafting of eggplant and tomato disease resistant rootstocks.At the age of seedlings,growth regulators promote the concentration of roots in rootstocks,and then used self-rooted seedlings and conventional grafting methods as controls to investigated the effect of effect of double-root-cut grafting on growth and development of eggplant,tomato in winter.The test resulted in the following:1 The study Screened three kinds of rootstocks resistant to Verticillium wilt,‘Imported Thorny Solanum torvum','YelibamuF1',and 'Zenhaohe',which the rootstock suitable for double-root-cut grafting of eggplant was ‘Imported Thorny Solanum torvum';The rootstock suitable for double-root-cut grafting of tomato was 'Yuanyuan 2'.By resistance analysis of 10 kinds of eggplant rootstock,we obtained six kinds of high resistance to verticillium wilt of eggplant rootstock,namely 'Yelibamu F1','Imported Thorny Solanum torvum','Qiezhen No.1','Homemade Thornless Toubam','Huimeizhenba F1,'' Zhenhaohe';and three kinds of mid-resistance rootstocks,'Modified Tuoyuosijia','Imported Thornless Solanum torvum',' Thornless Tengmu';and low resistance rootstock,namely 'Tongbu Eggplant Rootstock No.1';2 The difference in seedling age between rootstocks and scions was not conducive to the union of grafted seedlings,resulting in a low survival rate of grafted seedlings.The seedlings of rootstocks and scions were similar in age,and the survival rate of grafted seedlings was high and the healing effect is good.The study screened the optimum seedling age for double-root-cut grafting of eggplant was 5 true leaves of rootstock and 4 true leaves of scion;The study screened the optimum seedling age for double-root-cut grafting of tomato was 5 true leaves of rootstock and 4true leaves of scion.3 The study screened the optimum rooting plant growth regulators for double-root-cut grafting of eggplant was IBA:NAA=1:1,and the concentration was 500 mg/k;The study screened theoptimum rooting plant growth regulators for double-root-cut grafting of tomato was IBA:NAA=1:1,and the concentration was 500 mg/kg.Under different treatment conditions of different plant growth regulators and the same plant growth regulators,there was a great difference in the growth of regenerated roots of eggplant and tomato.Under the same treatment with the same concentration of IBA and NAA,the rooting effect of eggplant and tomato was not as good as that of composite treatment IBA:NAA=1:1.4 Double-root-cut grafting method can effectively improved seedling index and yield of grafted seedlings of eggplant and tomato.The survival rate and healing process of double-root-cut grafting method of eggplant and tomato were not affected compared with conventional grafting method.In the field experiment,the yield of double-root-cut grafting was significantly higher than that of conventional grafting method and self-rooted seedlings,and the fruit quality was not affected.5 During the healing process of grafted seedlings,significant changed in the related enzyme activities and hormone levels of the binding sites occurred.The two grafting methods were basically analogous.
