Double root-cutting grafted double head plant was a new technology of tomato seedlings cultivation.The objective of this study was to understand the adaptation of this new technology in Shaanxi Province,so as to get the most suitable rootstock type grafting for the main local tomato varieties.,and a comprehensive evaluation system for the quality of grafted double-headed seedlings was established.In this study,3 rootstock varieties and local main planted varieties were used as test materials to carry out double-cut root grafting to cultivate cotyledon and true leaf double-headed seedlings.With self-rooted seedlings as a control,.The related indexes of different rootstock-scion combinations were investigated,including phenological period,phenological period,growth and fruiting habits,nutrient composition,etc.The differences of rootstock-scion combinations were analyzed,and 8varieties of tomato was evaluated comprehensively by entropy weighted DTOPSIS method and grey relational degree analysis.The following research results have been obtained:1.The growth rate of‘Jinpeng No.1’rootstock grown slowly and the infection rate of virus disease was high.Therefore,it was not suitable to be used as rootstock for double root-cutting grafting and cultivating double head plant.2.In the early stage of planting,the morphological indexes of true leaf double-headed seedlings of’Zhezhen No.1’were significantly better than those of other treatments.The flowering and fruiting period showed that under the same rootstock treatment,the true leaf double-headed stem thickness was significantly higher than that of the cotyledon double-headed seedlings,and the growth period of the double-headed seedlings was delayed compared with the single-headed seedlings.Results The later investigation of the virus disease situation showed that the grafting method had little effect on the prevention of virus disease.3.The tomato yield of grafted double-headed seedlings was greatly increased,and the quality of single fruit was significantly increased.4.When the same rootstock and the same scion are grafted,different scion positions will cause changes in the lycopene content of grafted tomato fruits.The fruit lycopene content of"Zhezhen No.1"true-leaf double-headed seedlings was significantly higher than that of its cotyledon double-headed seedlings,while the cotyledon double-headed seedlings of"Zhezhen No.7"were significantly higher than its true leaf double-headed seedlings.5.The comprehensive evaluation by entropy weighted DTOPSIS method and grey relational degree analysis score of‘zhezhen No.7’was lower than the control group.The C_iand r_iof‘zhezhen No.1’were higher than other treatments.‘zhezhen No.1’could be used as the rootstock for double root-cutting grafting and cultivated double head seedlings of‘Provence’scion,and the seedlings of cotyledon double head and leaf double head were suitable for tomato production.
