The ecology of Mysida of Taiwan Strait during spring, summer and autumn in 2014-2015 and the mtCOI sequences of Mysida were studied in this paper. The distinctions of the composition, abundance, distribution and dominant species of Mysida in two years with different seasons were compared and the influence factors to the ecology of Mysida were discussed too.The mtCOI sequences of Mysida were obtained by using molecular biological techniques. It will provide some data for further studies on the ecology of plankton in Taiwan Strait and researches of mtCOI sequences from Mysida. The main results are as follows:1.The composition, abundance, distribution and dominant species of Mysida. There were 16 species belonging to 9 genera recorded in Taiwan Strait. There were significant differences in the composition of Mysida during spring, summer and autumn in 2014-2015,each season had absolutely dominant species, which accounted for more than 70%.There were also obvious differences in the abundance of Mysida in different seasons and regions, abundance of Mysida in summer was the largest and that of spring was the least. The amount of Mysida in off-shore was less than near-shore with the trend of decreasing from near-shore to off-shore,and that of south was more than north with the trend of decreasing from south to north. As for dominant species, the dominant species of spring, summer and autumn were Iiella pelagicus-Promysis orientalis,Acanthomysis laticauda-P.orientalis,A.laticauda in 2014 and.pelagicus,A.laticauda-I.pelagicus,A.laticauda-I.pelagicus-P.orientalis in 2015 respectively. The dominant species changed with the transformation of seasons. The main factors effecting of Mysida abundance and distribution include the South China Sea Warm Water and the Coastal Current, meanwhile, the depth of the Taiwan Strait also has a certain impact on the distribution of Mysida.2.The mtCOI sequences of Mysida49 mtCOI sequences from 9 species of Mysida were obtained. The sequences base composition, genetic distances and relationship between species were calculated, and phylogenetic tree was constructed by N-J method after Sequence Alignment. The genetic distance and sequence base composition differed significantly between genus and species. In all individuals,71.70%of the genetic distance in intraspecific was less than 0.020,and 70.78%was larger than 0.200 between species.Base composition of Anchialina typica and P,orientalis were more different than other Mysida. The relationship between Acanthomysis and Neomysis was the closest, the relationship between Acanthomysis and Iiella was the closer, and the farthest relationship was between Neomysis and Iiella. The mtCOI sequences were used to identify residual or juvenile Mysida.
