Research On Economic Value Assessment And Influencing Factors Of Carbon Sink In Forest Sector

Forest carbon sink is gradually becoming the main measurements to handle the ecological crisis.as one of the key collective forests in southern China,Fujian province is one of the important regions for ecological Protective screen construction.Therefore,It is of great significance to realize the carbon sink potential of Fujian province.In market economy,the economic value of forestry carbon sink plays a decisive role in the potential of forest carbon sink.Therefore,To evaluate the economic value and analyze influencing factors are the key to the achievement of the forest carbon sink development goals,which is also an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the research results of our predecessors,this article adopts cumulative expansion method to evaluate forest carbon sink in Fujian,then,calculates its economic value by it’s market value.Next,in this study we analyzed the influence of relevant factors on forest carbon sink by generalized impulse respond and variance decomposition,based on VAR model.Finally this article put forward some policy suggestion.Results show that:Firstly,the economic value of forest carbon sink in fujian province increased continuously from 1973 to 2015.By the end of 2015,the economic value of forest carbon sink was between 205.31 and 449.31 billion yuan.It’s expected to reach higher interval between 218.79 and 478.81 billion yuan by 2020.Secondly,the total value of Sanming,Nanping and Longyan accounts for more than 60%of the whole province,in the meantime,the remaining areas account for less than 30%.Thirdly,annual average temperature,annual average precipitation,persist planted and forest tending area have positive impact on forest carbon sink;Timber production and price,the disaster area have negative impact on forest carbon sink.Fourthly,the fluctuation of forest carbon sink is caused by itself(60.57%),timber production(12.22%),annual average temperature(10.29%),average annual precipitation(8.21%),persist planted area(6.20%),timber prices(1.36%),the disaster area(0.57%)and forest tending area(0.56%).Based on the above analysis,this paper puts forward a few pieces of relevant proposals:raising the level of nursery and improve the condition of lopsided increment;Make rational logging and plantingcycle;Seek a win-win situation between forest production and carbon sink;make use of advantages and reverse disadvantages difference.
