There are a large of chestnut planted gardens with the spacing of 2×3 m in China,which are of high density,low pruning technology and the management level etc.,such as poor ventilation of chestnut garden,many of that were closed,which affects the production of chestnut.In order to solve this problem,the experiment was carried out with 1.5×2 m planting,5-year-old "Yan Bao" Chestnut trees.Different-dates-remove limbs into bare trunk,offshoots short-cut with different length of buds and different date to treat the offshoots-tip sprain were used.To discuss the reconstruct of the canopy chestnut orchard without changing the breed,the growth and development of the regeneration branches were measured after the new shoot stopped growing in autumn.The results of the study were as follows:1.The results of the experiment showed that,the length of the new shoots was 76.8~98.1 cm,and the maturity of the branches was higher than that from March 15 th to April 15 th,which was suitable for the transformation of the spacing in the dense planting garden above 3 m.May 15 th to June 15 th after the treatment of the new shoot length average of 54.4~57.5 cm,suitable for the existing spacing 2 m planting garden transformation,and July 15 th treatment,the germination of the number of new shoots is 10,the maturity of the branches are low,not suitable for this period of treatment.2.The results of the short-cut treatment of offshoots shoot with different bud length showed that the average length of the accessory shoots was 21.0 cm,which was shorter than that of the new shoots with short-cut.The maturity of the accessory shoots was higher than that of other buds after the short cut of 3 buds.Fresh weight and bud length were the largest,24 mg and 4.03 mm respectively;the section of medullary heart was minimum,13.1%,the length of internodes was the smallest,2.0 cm;and starch content was the highest,0.89%.3.The results of the treatment of offshoots shoot at different periods showed that the inhibition of the length and coarseness of the branches was most obvious in the 30 days after the germination,which was 58.4 cm and 8.7 mm respectively,and the maturity of the branch was higher than that of the other period,the fresh weight and bud length were the largest,large to 25 mg and 4.23 mm respectively,the soluble sugar content and starch content were the largest,and the mean value was 3.68% and 0.66% respectively.Based on the above results,the 2×3 m chestnut planting garden can be reconstructed by treating with the May 15 th to June 15 th without changing planting density.can also be removed from March 15 th to April 15 th,combined with 3 short cut buds treatment,or 30 days after the germination of the sprain,to inhibit the polar growth of chestnut,reduce the tree potential,cultivate a high yield tree shape.
