Stenomesius maculatus Liao is an important parasitoid of Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenee.This article collects volatiles from different periods of rice by using headspace collection,By Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry(GC-MS)and Y-type olfactory test,Preliminary studies on identification and bioassays of rice volatiles,EAG was used to determine the response of S.maculatus to volatile secondary biomass in rice.The antennal morphology and sensilla were observed by using scanning electron microscopy.To lay the foundation for further research on S.maculatus searching and positioning mechanisms.The main results of the study are follow:(1)The collection and composition identification of rice volatiles.Using headspace collection and analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).Volatiling components of rice at different stages were initially collected,analyzed and identified.The results showed that Volatile components of rice mainly contain alkanes,alcohols,aldehydes and ketones,terpenes compounds and so on.There are differences in the types of volatiles in different periods.The rice volatile gas detected by rice leaf roller could contain four unique volatile components MESA,?-Caryophyllene,Linalooloxide and 2-Heptanol volatiles,four unique volatile components.(2)Olfactory behavior response of S.maculatus.Result of Y-type olfctory test indicates that S.maculatus have no preference for rice selection at Rice tiller period and heading stage.There is a clear bias towards rice that is harmful to insects.Compared with paraffin oil control,S.maculatus Male and female adults,There is a clear positive effect on Methyl salicylate,?-caryophyllene.The behavioral response to D-limonene and Ocimene is not obvious.(3)Using the electroantennography,The EAGresponses of S.maculatus to 5 kinds of volatiles of rice(D-Limonene,Ocimene,?-Caryophyllene,Linalool,Methyl salicylate),S.maculatus responded to doses of cis-3-hexen-l-ol in different concentrations.The results showed that male and female adults's the reaction value of cis-3-hexen-l-ol EAG increased with the increase of the concentration.The female and male S.maculatus have similar sensitivities to the differences between the two types of volatiles.The order of the EAG responses of the five male and female to the five compounds was ?-Caryophyllene>MESA>Ocimerene>D-limonene>Linalool.The EAG response value of the female wasp of S.maculatus is greater than male wasp,the results showed that the female adults were more selective and sensitive to volatile gases than male adults.(4)S.maculatus tentacles are knee-shaped,There are 8 subsections of the female whip,and 7 subsections of the male whip,A total of 7 types of sensilla were observed on the S.maculatus.They are Sensilla Trichodea;Chaetica Sensilla;Sensory Pore;Finger-like Sensilla;Sensilla Multiporous Plate;Sensilla Mammilliformia;Bohm Bristle.Among them,there are 3 subtypes of Sensilla Trichodea,Sensilla Multiporous Plate has two subtypes,The male and female adult antennae are similar in shape and structure,but there are still some differences.The female antennae are significantly longer than the male antennae.The size of antennae of the antennae of the male was significantly wider than that of the female.Diameter of females in other sections is significantly wider than that of the drone.And compared with the circular ring of the female bee,the female was more than one female.There is a Sensilla Trichodea III on the extra ring section,No finger sensilla on male clave.
