Water is the source of lives,the essentiality of products and the fundamental of ecology.Along with the rapid development of social economy,the development of water resource is disorganized and excessive for a long time,and the shortage of water resource is exacerbated,which presents the necessity for building new water-saving society.Agriculture represents the fundamental of social development and regional security,whose water demand is relatively huge.As a result,it is significant for our country to save water resource efficiently and promote national economic development at the same time,while ensuring steady agricultural productivity.Besides,building water-saving agriculture is one of the essential parts to implement the Central Government's Major Plan to accelerate water reform and development,and numerous attention and supporting policy are given by governments to develop and popularize water-saving agriculture.Agricultural water demand accounts for over 60%in the total water demand,while in the whole agricultural water demand,over 90%water is for irrigation.Therefore,it is important to optimize water resource distribution and improve agricultural water-saving technology.To improve utilization of water resources,agricultural water demand is prior to handle with and the key is to improve the efficiency of irrigation water.In the process of actual agricultural production irrigation,irrigation methods such as flood irrigation and other serious water consumption are still common,the irrigation efficiency is low,and the waste of water resources is serious.Or because the technical level of agricultural workers is lagging behind,it is quite difficult to achieve more widespread water-saving irrigation methods.In addition,in some regions,the pursuit of advanced water-saving irrigation methods has neglected the differences between their actual water resources systems and crop water use,resulting in low irrigation efficiency and waste of irrigation facilities.The root cause lies in the waste of water resources caused by the mismatch between the form of agricultural irrigation and the demand for crops.Therefore,depending on the local conditions and different crops,a flexible and effective water-saving system can effectively achieve water conservation.The target of this paper is Longnan County,which is famous for orange.Through the analysis for this region's present agricultural industry and water infrastructure,an orchard irrigation system based on local conditions is proposed to improve benefit and save water resource.This research not only solves the water-wasting problems in Longnan orchard irrigation system,makes agricultural conditions better and increases the local farmers' incomes,but also guides farms in this region to use advanced water-saving technology with high standard and profit,driving agricultural water-saving irrigation development in the neighbor with great economic benefit and promotion function.
