The real-time monitoring of maize growth status has been a hot topic in the field ofagricultural remote sensing.Remote sensing monitoring has the advantages of being objective, timeliness and wide monitoring range, which is helpful for dynamic monitoring of maize growth process. This study took the Dafeng district and Shuyang County of Yancheng City,Jiangsu as the research area, and selected the Landsat-8 satellite and the multi phase environment(HJ)satellite to study the summer maize. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:1)Research and analysis of summer maize spectral recognition based on spectral characteristics.Firstly,on the basis of the analysis of the different spectral reflectance of the remote sensing images of the Landst-8 satellite in Dafeng area, the crops were distinguished from other objects by the reflectance of the B5 near infrared band. Then the representative four exponential NDVI,DVI,RVI and GVI were selected, and the planting area data and spatial distribution information of summer maize in Dafeng district were extracted by constructing multi vegetation index thresholds and classification rules of different crops. The results show that the area of Dafeng area is 27720.65 hm~2 and the overall accuracy is 94.92%.This method can effectively extract the planting area of summer maize, and provide eference for the extraction of maize area in the county area of the Jianghuai maize planting area.2)Estimation of the biomass of summer maize by satellite remote sensing.First, combining the high resolution HJ-1A remote sensing data with the corn biomass model and taking LAI as the key parameter of the coupled maize model, the biomass of the whole growth period of summer maize was estimated.Secondly, the margin of the simulated and the measured values of the maize was 10.36%,18.87%and 15.10%respectively at the early, middle of the jointing stage and tasseling stage. The difference of simulated values and measured values was obvious, and the model parameters of summer maize biomass model were adjusted in jointing period, and the model was verified by the measured data. Finally, the margin of simulated and measured values of summer maize biomass was 0.67%and 0.65%respectively at the tasseling stage and milking stage. This indicates that parameter estimation can effectively improve the estimation accuracy of maize biomass model.3)Design and implementation of summer maize growth monitoring information system.GIS,RS,GPS,component technology and database were integrated, and Monitoring information system for summer maize growth(MISSMG)was developed by Delphi programming language based on the traditional C/S model. The farm field data and environmental satellite remote sensing images of summer maize growth period in 2016were used to test the system. The results show that the system can effectively monitor the growth of summer maize, and airspace display and statistical comparison analysis can also be carried out based on monitoring data. This system has a good technical support for the information production management and decision-making of Summer Maize in Jianghuai district.
