Studies On Cutting Propagation Technique、Screening Of Substrates And Fertiliser Use During Cultivation Of Miniature Rose

Miniature rose is a special group of the rose family,which have the dwarf shape and many flowers.It is very popular in market at home and abroad.In Guangdong province,some enterprises and farmers have begun to produce miniature rose in recent years.The quality of potted products is uneven and can not be supplied for annual production because the long period of high temperature and humid climate in summer is not suitable to the growth of miniature rose(it belongs the plant temperate zone).In addition,the producers lack a set of scientific cultivation techniques.Miniature rose‘Peng Peng’was studied in this experiment.The experiment was mainly aimed at cutting propagation,planting substrate and fertilizer use,so the results could be popularized and applid in the futurn and improve the quality and conformity of products.It could also provide the basis for the standardization of potted flowers production technical regulations.The main results were as follows:1.Effects of different substrates on the survival of cutting propagation of miniaturerose7 different substrates were set up in this experiment,which were fine river sand,peat,peat︰river sand=1︰2,peat︰river sand=1︰3,peat︰river sand=3︰1,peat︰river sand=2︰1,and peat︰river sand=1︰1.The rooting rate of peat︰river sand =2︰1 was 86.7% and the root number was 2.7.In actual production,these two indexes were very important,so peat︰river sand =2︰1 was the appropriate substrate for cutting propagation of miniature rose.2.Effects of different hormones on cutting propagation of miniature rose7 different hormones were set up in this experiment,which were IAA 5000 mg/L,IAA 2500mg/L,NAA 5000 mg/L,NAA 2500mg/L,IAA 2500 mg/L + NAA 2500 mg/L,IAA 1250 mg/L + NAA 1250mg/L,and IBA 600mg/L.The lower end of the scion was quickly dipped into hormone 10 s,then cutted into peat.The rooting rate of NAA 5000mg/L was 77.78% and the root number was 5.3,they were better than other treatments.Therefore,NAA 5000mg/L was suitable for cutting propagation of miniature rose.3.Effects of different fertilizer on growth of miniature rose7 fertilizer schemes were set up in this experiment,which were Peters Professional 20-20-20+Te,Peters Professional 10-30-20+Te,Compo 20-10-20+ MgO +Te,Compo 10-20-30+ MgO +Te,Liangda 20-20-20+Te,Liangda 10-39-26+Te,and Osmocote 14-14-14.Through comprehensive consideration,among the 7 fertilizer,Peters Professional 20-20-20+Te was more suitable for promotion in the products,it could balance plant growth index and physiological index effectively.4.Effects of different substrate on the growth of miniature roseThis experiment selected imported peat,Guangdong peat and coir as materials,and 8 substance formulations were set up,which were imported peat︰Guangdong peat =1︰1,imported peat︰Guangdong peat =1︰2,imported peat︰coir =1︰1,imported peat︰coir =1︰2,imported peat︰ Guangdong peat︰coir =1︰1︰1,imported peat︰Guangdong peat =2︰1,imported peat︰coir =2︰1,and imported peat.Through comprehensive consideration,among the 8 substance formulations,imported peat︰Guangdong peat =1︰2 and imported peat︰coir =1︰1 were the most recommended potted substrates,they were the best for cultivation and growth of miniature roses.
