Stephanitis?Stephanitis?laudata Drake et Poor and Stephanitis pyriodes Scott both are common pests of Tingidae.I've conducted the following research to provide reference for the prevention of these two pests. In this paper,I firstly used the extraction test of Free amino acid?Anthrone method and Coomassie brilliant blue G-250 to measure the contents and assessment the significant differences of three nutrients in the newer and older Rhododendron leaves. The results show that under 24?-25?,there's significant differences in the contents of Free amino acid?Soluble sugar and Soluble protein;while under 30?,there's not significant differences in the contents of Free amino acid and Soluble protein, but there's significant differences in the contents of Soluble sugar;and under 30?,the content of Soluble sugar increases rapidly in the older Rhododendron leaves. And then,in this paper,I used the method of EPG to contrast and analyze the feeding behaviors of Stephanitis?Stephanitis?laudata Drake et Poor and Stephanitis pyriodes Scott. The results show that their main waveforms are similar(like np,A,G,E1,E2)besides several rare special waves, also the same are their biological significances. After statisticing and analyzing the EPG parameters of the two pests,I've found that the resistance is difference in the newer and older leaves of hosts plants?Rhododendron and Camphor tree?for Stephanitis?Stephanitis?laudata Drake et Poor and Stephanitis pyriodes Scott. The total resistance of Stephanitis pyriodes Scott feeding on the Rhododendron newer leaves>the total resistance of Stephanitis pyriodes Scott feeding on the Rhododendron older leaves, the acceptance level Stephanitis pyriodes Scott feeding on the Rhododendron newer leaves>the acceptance level Stephanitis pyriodes Scott feeding on the Rhododendron older leaves, the resistance of the newer Rhododendrons leaves'surface is weaker than the older Rhododendrons leaves'surface, the resistance of the newer Rhododendrons leaves'phloem is weaker than the older Rhododendrons leaves'phloem;the total resistance of Stephanitis?Stephanitis?laudata Drake et Poor feeding on the newer Camphor tree>the total resistance of Stephanitis?Stephanitis?laudata Drake et Poor feeding on the older Camphor tree;the acceptance level of Stephanitis?Stephanitis?laudata Drake et Poor feeding on the newer Camphor tree>the acceptance level of Stephanitis?Stephanitis?laudata Drake et Poor feeding on the older Camphor tree;the resistance of the newer Camphor tree leaves'surface is weaker than the older Camphor tree leaves'surface, the resistance of the newer Camphor tree leaves'phloem is weaker than the older Camphor tree leaves'phloem.Combining the methods of Sequence spectrum and Frequency potential,I've analyzed the EPG differences of the two pests fatherly, which providing theoretical basis for preventing and controlling the pests effectively. In the older Rhododendron leaves, the content of Soluble sugar is accumulated largely in the test, and the high temperature season is most suitable for the outbreak of Stephanitis pyriodes Scott, while the insect resistance of plants recedes in this time, and the extent of the damage to the older leaves is more than that of the newer leaves. This is consistent with the results of the EPG experiment which suggested that the total resistance of newer leaves were larger than the older ones.Through the statistics and analysis of test above,I've known the feeding and damage features of Stephanitis?Stephanitis?laudata Drake et Poor and Stephanitis pyriodes Scott furtherly, which providing the basis for discovering the idioplasm resources of these two Tingidae pests.
