With the increasing shortage of water resources, developing water-saving cultivation of crops is one of the effective methods to solve the shortage of water resources.this experiment used pot-culture meetod, during jointing and booting stage of super rice set three different degrees of regulation, respectively as field water capacity was 80%?A treatment?,70%?B treatment?,and 60%?C treatment?;During heading and flowering plants set three different degrees of regulation, respectively as field water capacity was 70%?D treatment?,60%?E treatment?,and 50%?F treatment?;During the grain filling stage set three different degrees of regulation, respectively as field water capacity was 80%?G treatment?,70%?H treatment?,and 60%?J treatment?;The control treatment?CK treatment?was adequate for full growth period irrigation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of deficit irrigation on growth characteristics, physiological characteristics, water consumption and yield of super rice'shenliangyou 5814'.The results are as follows:At the jointing and booting stage, three treatments decreased the plant height, photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance of super rice, and the root shoot ratio, root activity, root growth index and intercellular CO2 concentration increased. In this period, the average water saving rate of the total water consumption was 10.57%,and the average yield was reduced by 3.74%.At the heading and flowering stage, three treatments reduced the photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance of the leaves of super rice, and the plant height, root activity, root growth index and intercellular CO2 concentration increased. In this period, the average water saving rate of total water consumption was 3.85%,and the average yield increased by 10.93%.At the the grain filling stage, three treatments decreased slightly the photosynthetic rate, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance of the leaves of super rice, plant height, root shoot ratio, root activity, root growth indexes and intercellular CO2 concentration were increased. In this period, the average water saving rate of the total water consumption in this period was 7.19%,and the average yield decreased by 11%.
