| The use of early-maturing and high-density planted maize varieties were the key process to implement.Comprehensive evaluating compactness,lodging resistance,growth period,grain moisture content and yield,early maturity and good tolerance maize harvesters are of great significance to the transformation of maize production methods.In this study,11 maize varieties were used as experimental materials two densities.Yield,growth period,dry matter accumulation,leaf area index,grain moisture content and dehydration characteristics were used as indicators for 11 maize varieties.The comprehensive evaluation made clear the physiological characteristics of the early-maturing and dense-maturing machine varieties,provided a scientific basis for its popularization and application.The results of the study are as follows:1.Under the two density conditions,the maize varieties with shorter growth period were SD650,HM1,YY137 and DK517,while the maize varieties with shorter growth period and relatively high yield were SD 650,HM1 and DK517.2.Under the two density conditions,the yield levels of different varieties were significantly different under Yangling summer sowing conditions.The maize varieties with high density and increased yield were XY335,HM1,DK517,SD650,SD620,and HM1 and SD650 were higher than the average yield of all the tested varieties at two densities;in Yulin,the ZD958,JSH692,GF308,and DK517 were higher than all the tested at both densities.SD650 and RP909 showed good planting tolerance.3.Under the two conditions of density,the maize varieties with relatively low empty bar,lodging and lodging rates were HM1,DK517,M753,SD650 and SD620,ZD958,XY335 and RP909.The lodging rate of JSH692 is relatively large,in the high-density conditions SD650 has a low emptying rate.4.In the two densities,the leaf area index of SD650,HM1 and DK517 was relatively small.The ability of dry matter accumulation after anthesis was increased under high density.The dry matter conversion rate was relatively high.5.Under the two kinds of density conditions,the maize varieties with shorter growth period and lower water content of about 26% were SD650,YY137 and DK517,and the grain water content decreased correspondingly with the increase of density,and the yield performance was lower.Prominent maize varieties SD 650 and DK517.6.Under the two densities,the dehydration rates of the 11 maize varieties showed the trends of “fast-slow-slow-fast,fast-slow-fast-slow and fast-slow-fast-slow-fast”,respectively.The dehydration rate at 25-35 days.Four maize varieties,SD650,YY137,DK517,and M753,had faster dehydration rates at the late filling stage than other varieties,and the grain water content was low at the time of harvest.Based on the comprehensive analysis,two maize varieties,SD 650 and DK517,had early maturity,high density,lodging resistance,low grain water content,relatively small leaf area index,strong dry matter accumulation ability after anthesis and high dry matter conversion rate.The characteristics are suitable for maize varieties suitable for mechanized harvesting of kernels. |
