Study On The Classification Of Forest Site Type In Dehong Prefecture In Yunnan Province

Based on the classification of forest sites in Dehong Prefecture,Yunnan Province,we carried out research on the classification of forest sites in five counties including Mangshi,Ruili,Luanchuan,Lianghe and Yingjiang,developed a forest site type table to construct a Dehong Prefecture Forest Site Classification System to serve the forest resource planning and design survey and provide theoretical basis for the construction of shelter forests,economic forest development,under-forest economic planting mode,construction of fast-growing and high-yield forest base,quality evaluation of forest site,selection of forest management measures,typical design of afforestation in Dehong Prefecture.it has important basic theoretical significance and practical guidance for the development of modern forestry in Dehong Prefecture.Using the site classification system of China Forest Site Classification,combined with the natural conditions of Dehong Prefecture,we had determined that the "Site Area" of Dehong Prefecture was the subtropical land area of South China(Ⅷ),"Site District" was the Diannan Mountain Area(46),"Site Second Area" was the Zhongshan Kuangu Site(Area)in the western part of Diannan Mountain(46A).Based on the 13 "site type groups"(Ⅰ～ⅩⅢ)of "Yunnan Forest Site Classification and Application System",according to the altitude factor and soil type of Dehong Prefecture,we determined the corresponding site type groups in 5 counties and cities respectively.Among them,Mangshi was divided into five site type groups(Ⅳ,Ⅵ,Ⅴ,Ⅶ and Ⅷ);Ruili City was divided into five site type groups(Ⅶ,Ⅷ,Ⅸ,Ⅹ and XI);Longchuan County was divided into 4 site type groups(Ⅴ,Ⅵ,Ⅶ and Ⅷ);Lianghe County was divided into 6 site type groups(Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ,Ⅶ,Ⅷ and Ⅸ);Yingjiang County was divided into 7 Site type group(Ⅰ,Ⅳ,Ⅴ,Ⅵ,Ⅶ,Ⅷ and Ⅸ).According to the "Detailed Operation Rules for Forest Resources Planning and Design of Yunnan Province(2013)",based on the data of 37,245 small class samples,we used quantitative methods I,analysis of variance,cluster analysis and other methods to find the dominant factor and levels which can influence the classification of forest sites in Dehong Prefecture.According to the combination of these dominant factors and different levels,the site type was divided.And the site type was uniformly named by the method of topographical factor,soil thickness and soil type.Mangshi was divided into 30 site types;Ruili City was divided into 20 site types;Luanchuan County was divided into 24 site types;Lianghe County was divided into 31 site types;Yingjiang County was divided into 37 site types.We compiled a list of the types of forest sites in five counties and cities in Dehong Prefecture,and compared them with the original site type tables.The newly developed Dehong Prefecture Forest Site Type Table was more systematic,consistent and easy to operate.
