Aquatic animal attractant is used to improve the palatability of feed additives and increase the animal’s appetite, which containing beneficial substances to promote animal feeding and growth, classified as non-nutritive feed additives.Feeding organs and feeding mechanism of aquatic animals are different.Single feed attractant only plays the part of inducement, but the study found that the phagostimulating effect of amino acid is obvious, and the combination of other kinds of food attractant can play a synergistic effect. This paper introduces the application of amino acids and their mixtures as attractant in aquatic feed, such as DMPT,animals and plants and their extracts,Chinese herbal medicine and nucleotides. At present, the main feed attractant of Litopenaeus vannamei are amino acids and DMPT materials, which can increase the feeding capacity, but the aquatic animals lack of anti-bacterial,anti-viral ability, the diseases occurred frequently.Chinese herbal medicine has the function of improving immunity. In this paper,Chinese herbal medicine and amino acids and DMPT were combined to formulate the SPY attractant.Five different experimental diets were formulate using different levels of fish meal and SPY,which were called group A,B,C,D and E.In group A 30 % fish meal was added without attractant, and in group B,24 % fish meal was added without attractant. And then,C,D,E group were made to add 1.5 kg / t,1 kg / t,and 0.5 kg / t SPY based in group B.Each test group was fed with three replications for 6 weeks. The results showed that the growth performance and feeding efficiency of Litopenaeus vannamei could be increased when the spy agent was added 1.5 kg / t in group c.
