Abstract/Summary:
Soybean(Glycine max)is an important cash crop and oil crop. With the rapid development of economy, people’s demand for soybeans is increasing day by day.China needs to import a large number of genetically modified soybeans every year to meet the growing domestic demand. The potential impact of genetically modified soybeans on the ecological environment has become the focus of experts and scholars. In order to explore the effect of insect-resistant transgenic soybean on biodiversity,a kind of insect-resistant transgenic soybean and its receptors and conventional non-transgenic soybean Zhonghuang 66 were studied in this experiment. The species and quantity of arthropods in soybean fields, the incidence of major diseases of soybean and the number of Soybean Rhizobium were investigated by direct observation, trap and diagonal five-point method. The data of GM soybean, receptor and Zhonghuang 66 were analyzed in order to provide theoretical reference for the ecological safety evaluation of insect-resistant GM soybean. The results show that:Compared with non-GM receptor soybean and local cultivar Zhonghuang 66,the diversity index, evenness index and dominant concentration index of GM soybean differ only at some time points, and the overall trend of change is consistent with the time-varying trend. In terms of the effects on the main diseases of soybean, the diseases of insect-resistant GM soybean,non-GM receptor soybean and local cultivars Zhonghuang 66 were mainly viral diseases and downy mildew, which mainly occurred in the stage of seed-filling,and no diseases were found in all materials at seedling stage.Compared with the other two groups, there was no significant difference in the effect of GM soybean on viral diseases and downy mildew. In terms of the influence of soybean rhizobium, the Rhizobium of transgenic soybean and control groups were investigated during the soybean harvest. The results showed that the average number of Rhizobium per plant was between 20 and 30,and there was no significant difference among treatments. The results showed that the effects of insect-resistant GM soybean on arthropod diversity, soybean virus disease, downy mildew and Soybean Rhizobium in soybean field were different from those of non-GM receptor soybean and Zhonghuang 66 in local control, but most of the differences were not significant. The extreme effects of insect-resistant GM soybean on biodiversity were not observed in this experiment.
