Soil is the carrier of crop growth, and its nutrient content directly affects the growth of crops.Carya cathayensis,as a world famous dry fruit,is widely planted.Increasing yield and income and improving fruit quality are the common goals of forest farmers.Previous studies on Carya focused on its growth habits, breeding and cultivation, fruit quality and other aspects, but paid less attention to soil nutrient management, especially the correlation between soil nutrient elements and fruit quality. In view of this,in order to study the correlation between the nutrient content of Carya and the corresponding soil,to understand the effect of the nutrient content on the quality of Carya. This paper takes Lin'an,a typical Carya producing area,as a research area,on the basis of scientific and reasonable sampling strategy,153 pairs of soil samples and corresponding Carya samples were collected in Carya woodland.Using general statistics and geostatistics combined with cross correlation function and geographic information technology to analyze the content of nutrient elements in soil of Carya and its producing area, and the spatial distribution characteristics, variation regularity and spatical relationship of nutrient elements in soil of Carya and its producing area,to provide a theoretical basis for rational fertilization and scientific management of Carya forest soil. The results showed that:(1)Taking soil fertility grading standard of “Zhejiang soil” as evaluation index. In the research area,98% of alkali-hydrolyzed N was higher than the critical value,77.8% of available K was higher than the critical value. The content of available P was lower than the critical value. Most areas were relatively deficient. The contents of trace elements Fe,Mn,Cu and Zn varied greatly.More than 90% of available Fe and Mn were abundant, mainly in the high and higher levels, while 7.9% of available Cu and22.3% of available Zn were lower than the minimum growth standard. The other areas could meet the basic needs of Carya growth. The contents of N,P,K in Carya ranged from 46.37 to 142.79mg/kg,34.74 to 124.43mg/kg,189.67 to 754.18mg/kg,respectively.The contents of crude protein and fat ranged from245.76 to 756.81g/kg and 311.07 to 679.87g/kg,and the contents of trace elements B,Fe,Mn,Cu and Zn ranged from 11.30 to 35.22mg/kg 5.39 to 61.78mg/kg,32.22 to 435.42mg/kg,7.60 to 29.08mg/kg,33.73 to 101.45mg/kg.(2)The quality elements and soil nutrient elements of Carya cathayensis have certain spatial variability and spatial distribution pattern. The high values of soil nutrients were mainly concentrated in Daoshi Town,Tuankou Town,Heqiao Town,Taiyang Town and the south of Changhua Town, while the low values were concentrated in the west of Qingliangfeng Town, the north of Longgang Town and the north of Changhua Town. The high value of fruit quality elements was concentrated in the West and south of Daoshi Town,Tuankou Town,Heqiao Town,Taiyang Town and the south of Changhua Town. While the low value was concentrated in the west of Qingliangfeng Town,Longgang Town, the north of Changhua Town and the east of Daoshi Town. The high values of trace elements are mainly concentrated in the middle of Taiyang Town and Changhua Town, while the low values are concentrated in the middle of Daoshi Town and Longgang Town. The spatial distribution pattern of nutrient elements between Carya and soil was similar, especially in the high value region and low value region.(3)Combined with correlation coefficient and cross correlation function, the spatial correlation between nutrient elements in soil and fruit quality elements was obtained.Among them,N(crude protein)in Carya was strongly correlated with soil alkali-hydrolyzed N,available P,available K,available Zn,available Mn and total Mn;P in Carya was strongly correlated with available P,available Mn and available Zn in soil;K in Carya was strongly correlated with available K in soil;the correlation between crude fat in Carya and available P,available B and total Fe in soil was stronger;B in Carya was strongly correlated with soil total Mn,available P and available B;Fe in Carya was strongly correlated with soil total Zn and available Fe;Mn in Carya was strongly correlated with soil available P,available Cu,available Zn and total Mn;Cu in Carya was strongly correlated with soil available K,available Cu and total Mn;Zn in Carya was strongly correlated with soil available Fe,available Cu,available Zn and total Zn in soil.In general, available P,available K,available Mn,available Cu,available Zn,total Mn and nutrient elements of Carya are closely related, and the quality of Carya is greatly affected by Mn,Zn,P in soil.
