Carya cathayensis which is peculiar high-end dried fruits and woody oil plants in our country, widely cultivated in Zhejiang and Anhui region, and it is advantage industry that promote the areafarmers to get rich. In recent years, the longicorn harm in pecan producing was more and more serious, not only affectde growth and development of the pecan trees, but also caused the fruit production, andcaused huge economic loss, with a great threat to the sustainable development of Carya cathayensisindustry. Dastarcus helophoroides was a predominant natural enemy of medium and large size of pinelonghorn beetle, playing a very important role in the naturally controlling of the beetle. The key forbiological control by this enemy is to breed a large number of individua artificially first. In order toeffectively control the occurrence of pest and reduce losses, the following research is this paper wasstudied:1.Occurrence regularity and damage condition of Zhejiang Ling’an in the vicinity of Caryacathayensis longicorn after investigation, found the symptom serious pecan longicorn, common inpecan production. Ling’an Linglong and Deng village area pecan Batocera horsfieldi hazard is moreserious, Shang Gan region dominated by mulberry longicorn.2.2instar larvae of Dastarcus helophoroides appeared in short time and had high rate of cocooningwhen1instar larvae of Dastarcus helophoroides raised in the mixture of artificial fodder and Tenebriomolitor. Both1instar larvae and2instar larvae of Dastarcus helophoroides can parasitize in Tenebriomolitor. When1Tenebrio molitor was parasiticed2instar Dastarcus helophoroides of artificial rearing, the parasitic rate is highest.3.A biocontrol program was carried out by releasing the parasitoid Dastarcus helophoroides(Coleoptera:Bothrideridae) of the longhorn beetle Batocera horsfieldi (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae),animportant stem-borer of ashes (Carya cathayensis) in Ling’an. Adults and eggs of D.helophoroides werereleased in fields in3plots in Linglong and Deng village. Control effect was evaluated by the longhornbeetle larvae density. After released just adults,or eggs,or a mixture of them outdoor, the reducing rateof the population of Batocera horsfieldi larvae per tree was at88.60%,74.92%,75.00%respectively.However,the reducing rate have had nosignificant difference among the three teatments. Resultsshowed that releasing adults and eggs of D.helophoroides in field could be an efficient measure for controlling Batocera horsfieldi.
