Selenium is one of essential trace elements for human body.Selenium deficiency can easily lead to various diseases of human body.Diet is one of the main sources of selenium supplementation. The purpose of indirect selenium supplementation can be achieved by increasing selenium content in crops using artificial selenium application.Exogenous application of selenium fertilizer is one of the effective and feasible methods at present. In this experiment, different concentrations of selenium fertilizer were sprayed on the leaves of field rice at full heading stage of rice field and combined with laboratory analysis to explore the process of fertilizer application in the production of rich selenium rice, which provided a theoretical basis for the production of selenium-rich agricultural products. The main findings are as follows:(1)Foliar spraying with different concentrations of selenium fertilizer could increase the selenium content in the organs of rice plants. The selenium content of rice organs was significantly elevated following the increase of exogenous selenium concentration, and the selenium contents of all organs(rice leaves, stems, milled rice and roots)increased by 8.32,6.61,7.58 and 6.33 times, respectively, compared with CK at the rice harvest stage in different treatments, and the selenium content of T2(30 g/hm2)treatments in milled rice reached the maximum value of 0.452 mg/kg,which was 11.35 times higher than CK.The selenium content in milled rice reached 0.228 mg/kg with T1(15 g/hm2)treatments,which was 5.74 times higher than CK.(2)Spraying different concentrations of selenium fertilizer could increase rice yield in different degrees. As a whole, the yield of each treatment after spraying selenium fertilizer increased between 0.50%and 17.41%,of which the production of selenium fertilizer increased by 0.52%under the TO treatment, and the yield increased by 11.79%and 9.86%under the treatments of T1 and T2,respectively.The yield increased up to 15.95%under CK1 spraying treatment.Spraying different concentrations of selenium on the number of effective panicles, panicle length, and 1000-grain weight were significantly correlated, but the effect of plant height and grain number on rice yield was not significantly related.(3)Spraying different concentrations of selenium fertilizer had no significant relationship with rice SPAD values. The SPAD value was only related to the growth period of rice and gradually decreased with the growth of rice, but there was no significant change in the SPAD of different selenium fertilizer treatments.(4)Spraying different concentrations of selenium fertilizer could increase the dry matter weight of various organs of rice to varying degrees.Overall, dry weight of rice organs(leaves, stems, ears, roots)increased by 18.70%,10.02%,15.65%,and 14.64%,respectively,after spraying selenium fertilizer. The T1 concentrations treatments of the each organ increased by 12.04%,2.22%,10.64%,and 6.71%,respectively.The T2 concentrations treatments increased the each organ by 23.89%,13.91%,17.25%,and 18.75%,respectively.(5)Spraying different concentrations of selenium fertilizer could also increase the quality of rice to a certain extent, reduce the rate of chalky rice grains and chalky Baidu, rice yield, polished rice rate, and polished rice rate increased by 2.31%,6.01%,and 7.59%,respectively.The protein, gel consistency and amylose content increased by 13.61%,12.38%and 10.40%respectively,compared to CK.(6)In the scope of this experimental study, the selenium content of rice treated with exogenous spraying of selenium-enriched foliar fertilizer T1(15 g/hm2)was 0.195 to 0.228 mg/kg,which met the national standard for grain selenium enrichment(0.1 to 0.3 mg/kg),and each index had a significant increase compared to CK,it is recommended for the most appropriate amount of spray.
