Different light sources have different effects on insect growth and reproduction.In this study,Light-Emitting Diode(LED)lamps with different wavelengths were selected as test light sources.,Mythimna separata,Spodoptera litura,Tribolium confusum,Nilaparvata lugens and Sitotroga cerealella were used as test insects.The effects of different light sources on the growth and reproduction of five insects were determined,and the effects of nine single wavelength light on the growth,development and reproduction of five insects were evaluated by population life table method,It provides some valuable reference materials for the prediction of insect pest and the study of future physical control.The main findings are as follows: 1 Effects of different light sources on the growth of five insectsCompared with LD(photoperiod L/D = 14h:10h,the same below)control,UV,blue-purple light,blue light and yellow light had significant inhibitory effects on the growth and development of M.separate.UV and blue light significantly inhibited the growth and development of S.litura.blue-purple light,blue light,orange light and red light had significant inhibitory effects on the growth and development of T.confusum.blue-purple light and blue light had a significant inhibitory effect on the growth and development of N.lugens.blue-purple light and blue light had significant inhibitory effects on the growth and development of S.cerealella.2 Effects of different light sources on the reproduction of five insectsUnder the irradiation of 1000 Lx light and 420 nm wavelength light source,the number of the experimental population of M.separate and N.lugens showed a downward trend,and the population of M.separate and N.lugens would not increase for a long time afterwards,the number of the other treatments showed an upward trend,and the population of M.separate and N.lugens will increase for a long time,and the growth is different because of the light source.The experimental population of S.litura,T.confusum and S.cerealella showed an increasing trend in all treatments,but the population growth multiple was different under different light sources,and the population of these three insects will increase for a long time,and the growth is different because of the light source.In conclusion,compared with the LD control,the growth and development of five insects were significantly inhibited by short wavelength light.Except for 420 nm light source,which inhibited the reproduction of M.separate and N.lugens,other light sources had no inhibiting effect on the reproduction of five insects.
