The oriental fruit moth(OFM),Grapholita molesta(Busck),is one of the most important pests in fruit planting. It is difficult to prevent and cure because of its wide host, boring and concealment.Chemical control measures are widely used now.People pay more attention to explore and develop more environmental protection prevention strategies.Sound monitoring is the product of modern science and technology. The application of sound monitoring technology in pest control has also made some achievements. This paper aims to determine the acoustic characteristics of the sound waves emitted by the larva and adult of Oriental fruit moth.so as to lay a foundation for the application of sound monitoring technology in the control of Oriental fruit moth.In this paper, sound recognition technology was used to record the sound wave of Oriental fruit moth activities with a recording pen.The sound data was imported into the sound processing software for noise reduction, and the sound data of Oriental fruit moth activity in different insect states and ages was compared and analyzed. The sound intensity of 5,10,15,20 and 25 adults of Oriental fruit moth was increased successively by 3db,6db,14 db,20db and 28 db,respectively. There was a positive correlation between the number of adult population and the magnitude of its sound amplitude. The larger the population was,the more obvious the fluctuation of its sound amplitude was.The fitting linear equation could be obtained as follows: y(db)=1.32 x(number of adult)-5.8.Among the flutter frequencies of adults of Oriental fruit moth edible insects of different ages, the flutter frequency of 1-day-old adults is 61 HZ,the flutter frequency of 2-day-old adults is 63 HZ,the flutter frequency of 3-day-old adults is 65 HZ,the flutter frequency of 4-day-old adults is 67 HZ,and the flutter frequency of 5-day-old adults is 62 HZ.
