As one of the most important ecosystems on the earth's surface,forest is the result of the interaction of plants,animals,microorganisms,water,sunlight,air,soil and other environmental factors.The health status of forests determines the species diversity in forests,thus ensuring the stability of forest ecosystems.In order to slow down the trend of global warming and maintain and stabilize the atmospheric carbon and oxygen balance,it is necessary to ensure the healthy development of forest ecosystems.Therefore,it is necessary to estimate and forecast the annual forest growth.While ensuring forest health,the forest storage and carbon storage growth can also be calculated.Furthermore,more advanced forest management theory should be studied to realize rational utilization of resources and green development of energy saving and emission reduction through accurate forest management.At present,the existing models for predicting forest growth have single parameters and low accuracy.There is no flow-based software for acquiring tree factors nondestructively or precision forest management.To solve these problems,this paper studied and designed the software of regional forest growth measurement,and made a comprehensive study on the realization principle of main functions and software development.In this paper,a large number of experimental data were used to fit the parameters of the proposed model,and the algorithm flow of each function was studied and programmed.The regional forest growth measurement software was redeveloped by using C#language on the platform of Visual Studio 2012 and ArcGIS Engine 10.2 toolkit.Finally,the software were developed for the traditional GIS function,annual forest growth prediction,non-destructive extraction of tree measurement factors and precise management of forests and other four functional area modules,and achieves the functions of forest growth prediction,measurement,management decision-making and so on.The experimental results show that the algorithm accuracy of the software basically meets the needs of forestry operations,and the software has a certain practical value.
