Design And Implementation Of ForestryBI System Based On Pentaho

In order to implement the "Guidelines for the Development of China's Smart Forestry",HeiLongJiang Forest Bureau carried out a smart forestry project.ForestryBI system is part of this project.System is designed to solve problems like non-common data in multi-information systems and difficulties in integrating and using data.After the discussion of the status quo of business intelligence development,writer proposes a way of ForestryBI system devolopment based on the Pentaho to reduce the cost and the development difficulty for the needs of forestry bureau system integration,data analysis and decision support.First,the logical model of the data warehouse was designed according to the specific needs of the Forestry Bureau,and the data extraction,transformation and loading process(ETL)was implemented by using Kettle,a data integration component of Pentaho;Secondly,use Pentaho Report Designer to create and publish report to system;use the designer to create dashboards to complete the visualization of the indicator data;Third,use the Pentaho Schema Workbench to generate OLAP Schema files and publish to the Pentaho server,and then use the Mondrian OLAP server to load the Schema XML files.The research and development and ForestryBI shows that it is valuable to use business intelligence in forestry.ForestryBI system integrates the forestry data generated by the forestry bureau into data warehouses for the useage of report,index and OLAP.Users can use ForestryBI system as a support in managing and decision support,improve efficiency.
