Study On Food Attractants Formula Optimization And Trap Development Of Eucryptorrhynchus Scrobiculatus Motschulsky

Eucryptorrhynchus scrobiculatus Motschulsky is one specific type of pests on Ailanthus.The second generation of shelter-forest network of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is mainly consisted of Ailanthus altissima.But the trees are growing increasingly weak because of the great damage caused by Eucryptorrhynchus scrobiculatus Motschulsky and Eucryptorrhynchus brandti(Harold).Common measures are artificial capture,chemical control,physical capture and trapping technology.The shortcomings of the existing trapping technology are as follows:the food source attractant of the trapping technology include both apple Juice and sweet and sour liquid,but the attractant activity of fresh apple juice single attractant was not researched and the attractant activity difference caused by different proportions of sweet and sour liquid and fresh apple juice was not studied;large number of manpower and material resources is wasted since the attractant requires in present preparation to maintain its activity;the effective duration of the attractant was only 1 weeks;the operation of the trap is complex.Understanding the main factors,increasing attractant activity,designing the new trap device are urgent problems.Based on that previous studies have confirmed the Eucryptorrhynchus scrobiculatus Motschulsky have a certain orientation response to apple larvae of sweet and sour liquid,Eucryptorrhynchus scrobiculatus Motschulsky attractant was obtained via test and screening,and a capture device was designed that can lure and monitor the occurrence of Eucryptorrhynchus scrobiculatus Motschulsky more effectively.The main results are as follows:(1)The results throughing indoor and forest test indicated that apple juice was main active components and the sweet and sour liquid was synergistic material in the food attractant(apple juice mixed with sweet and sour liquid)Of E.scrobiculatus.(2)When the mixed ratio of apple juice and sweet and sour liquid was 3:1,the attraction effect was the strongest.And the best formula is formula number 2(30g of apple,5g of sugar,5ml of wine,1g of Potassium sorbate and 55ml of water).The trapped number of the new formula is 1.2 times of the original one,and the ratio of female and male was 1.3:1.(3)The largest number of average trapping was 3.87±2.91 in three days when using the attractant with apple essence and its trapped number is 1.7 times of the formula with apple juice and sweet and sour liquid.The advantages of the formula with the apple essence were simple preparation and long aging 30 days,5 times longer than the bait with sweet and sour liquid.(4)A trap device that does not require assembling was invented.With a escape rate of only 5.2%,the test device can capture the Eucryptorrhynchus scrobiculatus Motschulsky adult effectively.
