Dastarcus helophoroides is an important parasitic coleoptera natural enemy insect for the control of mature larvae and pupae of medium and large sized longicorn beetles. Its biological and ecological characteristics and artificial mass breeding and release technology have been extensively studied, and it has been obtained good control effects after release D.Helophoroides into the forest. In this study,by measuring the flight distance, flight speed and flight time of adults of D.Helophoroides under different temperatures, individual sizes, genders and feeding conditions,to determine the important factors affecting the flying ability of adults. So that the results provide a scientific basis for the determination of the diffusion law and control range of D.Helophoroides in the forest and the release of it by unmanned aerial vehicles. The main findings are as follows:1.Under different temperature treatment, with the temperature increases, the adult flight distance and flight time increased significantly, but no significant difference in flight speed, the smaller individualmaximum distance was 96.27 m in 20?,the emperature overtook 30?,the flying distance difference was not significant. The larger adults can achieve maximum flight distance at 89.88 m in 30?,but the flight distance didn't increase along the temperature after that.2.Flying distance, flight time and flight speed had no significant change in smaller Individuals before and after spawning, suggests that smaller individuals experienced reproduction had no significant effect on its fly ability.Flight ability of different size of D.Helophoroides also had no significant differences after spawning. But the flight distance of larger D.Helophoroides after spawning significantly longer than the individual that not spawn, and showed that flight distance was influenced significant by reproductive experience in larger adults.3.There was no significant difference in flying distance, flying time and flying speed between the male and female members of D.Helophoroides, indicating that gender had little influence on the its flying ability.4.There was no significant relationship between the size of the adult and its flight distance, flight time and flight speed, indicating that the flying ability of the adult had little relationship with its size.5.There was no significant difference in the flight distance between feeding and non-feeding adults, which indicated that the starvation of the adult had little effect on the flight distance. After feeding, the flying time of the smaller adults was longer than that of the non-feeding individuals, and the feeding and non-feeding had little effect on the flying time of the larger adults. The effect of starvation treatment on the flying speed of the adults was significant.Temperature, reproductive behavior and starvation treatment, therefore, can send to a certain extent affect the flight ability of D.Helophoroides, the most important factor was temperature, under 25~35?,the flight ability of D.Helophoroides is stronger, and is suitable for the field release. In order to expand the spread area and control pest maximize,we suggest the proposal field release condition is 25 to 35?.
