Pea sprouts,also known as pea seedlings,are rich in various nutrients,such as soluble protein,vitamin C,total phenolics and total flavonoids etc.,making pea sprouts have function of health care such as diuretic,detumescence,antioxidant and digestive.As a greening type vegetable,light would have an important impact on metabolism of the growth and development of pea seedlings.In recent years,LED has been developed rapidly due to its advantages such as convenience of spectrum adjustment,energy-saving and low level of heat production.Industrial production is an important way of producing pea sprouts,however,still has some disadvantages.For example,industrial production suitable varieties are rare,ignorance of light environmental control and its mechanisms are still unclear.Therefore,it is important to select for seedlings industrial production suitable varieties of pea and study the key techiologies related to light control.The main research contents are as follows:1.Ten varieties of pea sprouts were selected.In order to complement the production for high-quality pea resources,fifty important pea varieties from China were selected for cultivation tests.Growth morphology was investigated and ten pea varieties such as Suwan-12046,Suwan-12054,Chuanwan-6004,Su-wan-ma-dou were selected out.2.The compound of red and blue LED light for pea sprouts was a proportion of 3:1.The results show that,compared with the control,a 3:1 proportion of red and blue light significantly increased the content of edible fresh mass,edible rate,ascorbic acid,soluble sugar,total phenol and total flavonoids in three pea sprouts,indicating that a 3:1 proportion of red and blue LED light was the suitable way to cultivate pea sprouts.3.The optimized photoperiod of LED blue and red mixed light for pea sprouts was 12 h·d-1.Three different varieties of peas,Chuanwan-6004,Suwan-12054 and Su-wan-ma-dou,were chosen as test material.Four different photoperiod treatments were adopted and the effect of different photoperiod on pea sprouts nutritional quality was investigated.The results showed that during four photoperiod treatments of 6 h·d-1,8 h ·d-1,10 h ·d-1,12 h ·d-1,longer photoperiod increased edible rate,soluble sugar and antioxidant content of pea sprouts.The growth and nutritional quality of pea sprouts were effectively improved by the treatment of photoperiod of 12 h ·d-1 LED mixed with red and blue light.
