Research And System Implementation Of Forest Measurement By Smartphone And Tablet PC

Forest ecosystem is an important resource to promote ecological development,economic development and social development.People realize the reasonable utilization of forest resources through the improvement of forest vegetation productivity,forest management and resource management.The premise of all this is the survey of forest resources.Only reasonable and effective forest measurement methods can have a deep understanding of forest resources.And these results are used for analysis and planning.In order to solve the problems of existing forest measurement techniques such as the difficulty in carrying instruments,large workload in field work,separation from intermal work,and low calculation efficiency,A method to make use of smartphone and tablet PC which is light and portable,having high performance,strong calculation,high resolution eamera and high preeision sensing ability to earry out relevant work has been proposed.Therefore,this paper has studied on the method and system implementation of forest measurement by smartphone and tablet PC.The software system was designed through the construction of the overall software architecture,including entity class module,data access module,interface module and utils class.Java programming language,lightweight SQLite database,MVC and factory-oriented design model were adopted for system development in Android Studio 3.3 integrated development environment,based on analysis and research of algorithm and model of each function.The smartphone and tablet PC forest measurement system has realized a series of functions,including monolithic photogrammetry of Diameter at breast height,tree height and volume,N-Trees algorithm and 3D angle gauge measurement,traverse measurement,subcompartment growth index measurement,survey record and electronic bar code ruler measurement.The research and system implementation of the smartphone and tablet PC forest measurement would provide new measurement methods and research ideas for the national resources investigation department,scientific research institutions,forest surveyors,etc.,and promote the development of forest measurement technology to be more intelligent,portable and efficient.
