Through field investigation, the study on the coverage, storage, diameter distribution, tree height/length structure, decay grade distribution and spatial distribution pattern of coarse woody debris(CWD)of various species were carried out in Natural secondary poplar-brich forest in Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve. The study aimed to provide references for the management of Coarse Woody Debris(CWD),and the full display of ecological functions of those CWD in forest ecosystems in Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve. The results showed that:1.The total coverage of coarse woody debris in Natural secondary poplar-brich forest reached 1299.07 m~2,accounting for 16.24%of the total plot area. The covered area of inverted wood is the largest, reaching 1213.84 m~2,accounting for 93.44%of the total coverage area of CWD.2.The total storage of coarse woody residues of Natural secondary poplar-brich forest reached 186.0426 m~3.The storage of inverted wood reached 157.7146 m~3,which is 84.77%of the total storage of CWD.The storage capacity of dead wood is 28.3282 m~3,which is 15.23%of the total storage of CWD.3.Most of the inverted wood diameters in the Natural secondary poplar-brich forests are distributed in the range of 0?10 cm,partially distributed in the range of 10-20 cm,and rarely trees distributed in over than 40 cm.The diameter of dead trees is mainly distributed in the range of 0-10cm,and the distribution is partially in the range of 10-20cm,and less trees distributed over than 20cm.Fallen woods and dead woods of different tree species, are mainly small-diameter woods.4.The CWD height/length of different tree species in the Natural secondary poplar-brich forest of is mainly distributed between 3?5 m,followed by the distribution of 1?3 m,and the number of trees with height/length of 11 m or more is small. The height/length of the fallen trees in the Natural secondary poplar-brich forest is mainly distributed between 3?5 m,followed by the distribution of 1?3 m5 and the number of trees with height/length of 11 m or more is small. The height/length distribution of different tree species n the Natural secondary poplar-brich forest is not concentrated, which may be related to the inheritance and growth environment of different tree species.5·The coarse woody debris of different tree species in the Natural seeondary poplar?brieh forest of Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve are mainly ?-class and ?-class.
