The resources of native grassland in China were abundant, and it will provide a powerful guarantee for the development of husbandry in the pastoral areas.Due to the relative backwardness of mechanical equipment, the lower level of science and technology, improper management methods caused a large amount of nutrients in grass were lost in the actual production? In order to resolve the above problems, the native grass in typical grassland was regarded as the experimental material to explore the effects of cutting time, gathering time and straw thickness on the moisture content, nutrient index and ultrastructure of stems and leaves, aiming to reveal the nutrient depletion and water dispersion failure mechanism in the process of dryness of native grass, and can be provide the theoretical basis and technical guidance for the actual production of farmers and herdsmen in grassland pastoral areas.Based on the results of this research,it is concluded that:(1)The typical grassland of the grassland in the Bahrain Zuoqi area of Inner Mongolia is dominated by Gramineae,Leguminosae and Compositae. The highest yield of hay was Stipa grandis and Leymus chinensis, which accounted for 9.54%and 7.40%of the total production, respectively. There are 8 species of grasses in the grass group, with an average CP of 8.96%DM and 5 legumes with an average CP of 11.17%DM.(2)In the condition of the mowing time at 11:00,the gathering is 2 h after the mowing, the grass strip thickness is 10 cm,drying rate of the native grass is faster which was 0.79%/h.The nutritional quality was the best(CP8.61%DM,ADF38.31%DM,NDF66.27%DM).(3)The drying rate of grass is closely related to its ultrastructure. With the continuation of the drying process, the stomata permeability of Leymus chinensis,Dauri arborescens,Quercus mongolica and Stipa grandis decreased gradually, and the secretion of intracellular dissolved matter increased, while the density of waxy layer increased significantly, and the surface cracks and wrinkles increased.
