Research On The Silage Character Of 10 Forage Grasses In Ordos Plateau

This article focused on Ordos Plateau's 10 natural forage grass (Stipa bungeana, Stipa breviflora, Stipa klemenzii, Stipa glareosa, Cleistogenes songorica, Psammochloavillosa, Agropyrom mongolicum, Pennisetum centrasiaticum, Achnatherum splendens, Poa pratensis) for the purpose of possibility, vision and scope of silage, through both ensiled direct silage and silage additives (Caihe,0.1% fresh weight). After analyzed of the fermentation quality and chemical composition, the results will provide a scientific basis on Ordos Plateau grass silage forage, which included important theoretical value and significantly practical meaning. The results showed as follow:1. The water soluble carbohydrate content of all forage grasses was low; except Pennisetum centrasiaticum, the water content of all the other forage grasses was rather low and was not conducive to good silage.2. The pH values of all the silages (in the range between 5.17 and 6.08) were somewhat higher than usual. All the pH values of additives silage were less than ones of direct silage. After Using additive in Stipa bungeana, Cleistogenes songorica, Psammochloavillosa, Agropyrom mongolicum, Pennisetum centrasiaticum, Poa pratensis, the pH value of them were lower than direct silage significantly. And after Using additive in Psammochloavillosa, Agropyrom mongolicum, the value of AN/TN was lower than direct silage significantly. The Lactic acid of Stipa bungeana, Agropyrom mongolicum and Stipa glareosa was significantly increased after using addctive. The ADF and NDF contents of all forage grasses silages were less than materials.3. The fermentation quality of Stipa glareosa, Psammochloavillosa, Stipa breviflora, Agropyrom mongolicum additive silage and Stipa klemenzii direct silage were better . And the Pennisetum centrasiaticum additive silage and its direct silage were schlecht, other forage grasses silages'quality were as common.
