In this paper, using Qingshuihe County as the research area, through the combination of field investigation and indoor experiment,11 kinds of public-interest forest types and 1 landless forest were selected as the control, and the hydrological and ecological effects of forest land of Qingshuihe County were studied by combining qualitative and quantitative research methods. The results of the study show that:(1)Comparing the storage, accumulation status, maximum water holding rate, maximum holding water, effective shortage:runoff quantity and water conservation ability of different forest types, the litter storage(22.15 t/hm2)of Poplar Pinus mixed forest is larger than that of Caragana forest(7.42 t/hm2);maximum water holding rate, willow Forest(352.05%)>Pinus tabulaeformis Forest(158.45%);The maximum water holding order is Poplar Grove(21.27 t/hm2)<Pinus tabulaeformis pine forest(15.58 t/hm2).The results show that the water holding capacity of each forest is much lower than that of broad-leaved forest.Among them, the highest water holding capacity of the soil is willow forest, followed by Pinus tabulaeformis, larch and other coniferous forests, after which it is Caragana forest,Seabuckthorn Forest,no woodland is the lowest.(2)By analyzing the water conservation capacity of soil available phosphorus, available potassium, alkaline nitrogen, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, organic matter and pH of different forest types,it is concluded that coniferous forests are far lower than broad-leaved forest in the area of forest surface soil.Among them, the highest content of soil organic matter is Poplar Pinus mixed forest(22.60g/kg),followed by Poplar Grove(18.28g/kg)and other broad-leaved forests, and then Pinus tabulaeformis(17.35g/kg),Larch(15.59g/kg)and other coniferous forests, the lowest is Caragana shrub(4.84g/kg).As a result,broad-leaved forests are more likely to improve and sustain woodland fertility and accumulate soil nutrients.(3)Comparing the water conservation capacity of different forest types, such as soil bulk density, soil porosity, natural moisture content, maximum storage, effective water storage and saturated storage of 0-80cm soil layer,it is concluded that there are obvious differences in soil water conservation function of different forest types in woodland, and Poplar Grove saturated storage in 0-80cm soil layer is the largest,For 13726.3t/hm2,followed by Poplar Pinus mixed forest, for 11077.5t/hm2;Caragana Forest for 6672.7t/hm2;no woodland worst,6284.3t/hm2.It can be seen that the public welfare forest has a good water conservation function, among which the local Poplar woodland has the strongest water conservation capacity. Therefore,in the public welfare forest afforestation,we should fully consider the differences in the function of water conservation caused by different tree species, select suitable tree species,so that the function of water conservation to maximize.
