In this paper,Wuchuan County in the northern part of Yinshan Mountain is used as the research area, and the typical plots are selected. The forests with different forest types are taken as the research objects. The natural forests and natural grassland are compared to compare the litter and soil physical and chemical properties under different forest types. The study measured and combined with the analysis of mathematical statistics to explore the differences between the public forests and natural forests on the effects of water conservation and soil conservation. The main findings are as follows:1.The soil layer in the northern part of Yinshan is thin and the soil quality is poor. The soil moisture content of each layer of each forest type varies from 2.3%to 23.7%.The soil moisture content decreases with the depth of the soil layer. The soil bulk density increases with the deepening of the soil layer, and the capillary porosity becomes larger as the bulk density becomes larger, and the non-capillary porosity gradually decreases. The bulk density of 0-10cm beadwood in the soil layer is 0.67g·cm-3,and that of Pinus sylvestris is 1.29g·cm-3.Secondary forest soil has the best water storage capacity, good water conservation capacity, and soil bulk density has a significant impact on soil porosity. The soil infiltration experiment showed that the infiltration rate of the 13 planting communities decreased sharply from 0-10min,and the soil infiltration rate decreased slowly and gradually stabilized in 10-30min.The soil infiltration rate was basically 30min after the infiltration began.Stable, that is,the steady state has been reached.2.The pH value of larch, spruce forest and birch birch forest was neutral, and the soils of other forest types were basically alkaline.Among them,Caragana korshinskii forest,Shanxing forest, and Pinus tabulaeformis mixed forest were strongly alkaline..The natural forest soil is conducive to the accumulation of organic matter, which is significantly higher than other forest stands, and the organic matter of the surface layer of each forest type is higher than the organic matter of the lower layer soil. The organic matter quality of shrub soil was significantly lower than that of arbor forest, and the soil organic matter of grassland was lower than that of shrub forest. The organic matter content of each forest type was 2.17g·kg-1-42.27g·kg-1,and the organic matter content of Pinus tabulaeformis forest was slightly lower than that of natural forest. There was a significant negative correlation between total nitrogen and pH(P<0.05),and there was a significant positive correlation with organic matter(P<0.01).There was a significant negative correlation between alkali nitrogen and pH(P<0.01),there was a significant positive correlation between total nitrogen content, hydrolyzed nitrogen content, total phosphorus content and total potassium content(P<0.01).3.The litter storage, maximum water holding capacity, maximum water holding capacity, water absorption rate and effective storage capacity were studied. The results showed that the total litter storage of different forest types ranged from 0.74t·hm-2 to 5.09 t·hm-2,Larix gmelinii forest was the largest and Pinus sylvestris forest was the smallest. The volume of natural forest is larger than that of plantation, and that of semi-decomposed layer is larger than that of non-decomposed layer. There were significant differences in water holding capacity among different forest types(P<0.05),which showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing with time. The trend of litter water uptake rate was the same in all forests.Natural forests had higher water uptake rate, followed by Pinus tabulaeformis plantations, and shrubs had the worst water uptake rate.Among the forest types,Larix gmelinii forest has the largest volume, the highest water holding capacity and the best effective rainfall interception(9.051 t·hm-2),followed by Pinus tabulaeformis and apricot mixed forest(2.847 t·hm-2).
