In order to find out the advantages and key technical parameters of the nutrient solution seedling nursery,the experimental material was' Jingchunwa 2'and the seedling nursery system was developed by Beijing Vegetable Research Center.The main findings are as follows:1.The effects of nutrient solution seedling-raising method and hole-plate substrate seedling-raising method on seedling emergence rate,growth index,dry matter accumulation,root characteristics and seedling-strengthening index were compared.The seedling emergence rate,seedling height,stem diameter,leaf size,dry matter accumulation and strong seedling index were significantly higher than those of the seedlings in the tray.The results showed that the seedling emergence rate,rapid growth,biomass accumulation and seedling robustness were significantly improved by using nutrient solution seedling raising system,which indicated that nutrient solution seedling raising system was more suitable for large-scale intensive production.2.To explore better seedling-raising methods to solve the problem of shortening the growth cycle and increasing yield of doll vegetable after planting.The effects of nutrient solution seedling,seedling of pot-tray substrate and direct seeding on the growth and development of baby cabbage were studied.The differences of growth,yield and quality of baby cabbage seedlings under three treatments were compared.The results showed that after planting,the whole growth period of seedlings raised by pot-tray substrate was 3 days earlier than that by nutrient solution,27 days earlier than that by soil direct seedling,and the yield of pot-tray substrate was significantly different from that by nutrient solution and soil direct seedling,but the treatment by nutrient solution and soil direct seedling were two different treatments.The content of vitamin C and soluble protein in nutrient solution were significantly increased by 22.51% and 28.01% respectively,and 85.47% and 5.86%respectively,compared with the treatment of soil direct seedling.The results showed that seedling raising with nutrient solution could improve the quality of baby cabbage,but the growth and development of lateral roots of baby cabbage seedlings with nutrient solution were faulted during seedling stage,which resulted in prolonging the slow seedling time and no significant increase in biomass accumulation compared with soil direct seedingtreatment.3.To explore the effects of different nutrient solution concentrations on the growth of baby cabbage seedlings.The results showed that under the treatment of 0.5S nutrient solution,the seedling growth performance was weak,dry matter accumulation was low,root length and volume were small,seedling robustness was low;under the treatment of1.0S and 1.5S,there was no significant difference between the two,but the growth index and physiological index of the seedling were measured.The seedlings grew vigorously at2.0S nutrient solution concentration,which showed that the plant height was bigger than that of other treatments,the stem was thicker,the leaves were more and more flourishing.The seedling growth indexes of 1.0S and 1.5S were the same at the early stage of seedling growth under the treatment of 2.5S nutrient solution,but they were accelerated at the later stage of seedling growth.This was due to the stress situation in the early stage of 2.5S because the concentration was too high,and the growth indexes and physiological indexes were lower than those of other treatments.The results showed that the optimum concentration of nutrient solution was 2.0S for the growth of baby cabbage seedlings.
