The Huang-Huai-Hai region is an important planting area for peanuts in China. The pest damage affects the quality and yield of peanut. In recent years, the occurrence of piercing-sucking pests has become more and more serious, which restricts the development of the peanut industry in this producing region. In this study,in order to clarify the dominant species of piercing-sucking pests in peanut fields and master the dynamics of their populations to effectively control such pests, the structure of insect community and dominant insect species as well as the occurrence dynamics of dominate pests of peanuts have been analyzed on peanut field with color trap method in Huang-Huai-Hai region which includes seven areas fromfour provincesin 2017 and 2018.In addition, the results provide a basis for the prevention and pest control in the peanut field of Huang-Huai-Hai region. The main results are as follows:1.Based on color trap method, the structure of insect community of peanut field was investigated in Huang-Huai-Hai region.106,646 and 193,295 of insect specimens were obtained in 2017 and 2018,respectively.The total of 94 species of 64 families insects were identified to belong to six orders which were Thysanoptera,Hemiptera,Coleoptera,Diptera,Hymenoptera and Neuroptera. The number of insects of Thysanoptera predominated in individual populations, which the proportion was 58.15%and 72.82%in 2017 and 2018 respectively. The results of the grade analysis showed that Thripidae was the dominant species of peanuts in the area, which the relative abundance was 30.77%-87.77%.2.The results of diversity analysis of insect community of peanut fields in Huang-Huai-Hai region including Baoding,Weifang,Yantai,Puyang,Kaifeng,Zhumadian and Hefei showed that the diversity index of insect community were between0.6804 and 1.5839,evenness index were between 0.2357 and 0.5181,and concentrated index were between 0.3132 and 0.7400.The above results showed that the diversity of insect community in peanut fields was higher leval and the community was the fairly stable in Baoding, but the community diversity fluctuated greatly in Hefei.3.There were differences of temporal dynamics of insect community diversity in the peanut fields in seven areas of Huang-Huai-Hai region. The diversity of insect communities was higher in June and August. The temporal dynamic trend of community diversity index was consistent with evenness index, while the concentrated index on the opposite. In 2017,the community similarity coefficient C_j showed that the C_j of Baoding and Kaifeng,Zhumadian and Hefei were all greater than 0.75;the Cj of Yantai and Puyang and Hefei were all greater than 0.75;the Cj among Kaifeng,Zhumadian and Hefei were all greater than 0.75.The communities were counterpart. In 2018,the communities were counterpart in Yantai and Kaifengas well as the similarity coefficient was 0.80.The composition of insect communities is quite different in the peanut fields in different years.4.The morphological characteristics combined with mtDNA COI barcoding technology were used to identify the species of thrips in peanut field. The results showed that the dominant species of peanut field were Frankliniella occidentalis and Frankliniella intonsa in the Huang-Huai-Hai region. The dominance index of F.occidentalis was 0.2113~0.5990 and 0.4233~0.6528 in 2017 and 2018;the dominance index of F.intonsa was 0.1142~0.2016 and 0.1069~0.2650 respectively. The dominance index of F.occidentalis was higher than that of F.intonsa.F.occidentalis was the dominant species of peanut field in Huang-Huai-Hai region.5.The dynamic analysis of the population of F.occidentalis and F.intonsa showed that the peaks of F.occidentalis and F.intonsa were from late June to early August in Huang-Huai-Hai region. The results of the relationship between populations of F.occidentalis and F.intonsa showed that the former was significantly larger than the latter which was 1.80 to 4.15 times the population of F.intonsa in Baoding.
